Hey! Quick question. If I unplug old cmos battery and replug a fresh one will it have same result that what you're showing? This could be way easier for me than piercing a hole on the plastic / demounting everything. Thanks!

Hi Kouak,
I had to remove the battery to reset the CMOS so that I can disable the USB. Don't make a hole in your Laptop as this was for demonstration only.

if it’s a fixed Battery then maybe you can try shorting the terminals briefly.
