Some verses were revealed for a given situation in the past. We believe in them but their ruling are not applicable nowadays.
What's funny from that Qadiani guy is that he admitted at last that there is an ayaat which speaks about past religion but Islam abrogated that.
So this proves they know that the concept of Naskh (abrogation) exist but due to their ill intention, they wanted to hide the truth.
“Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allah is able to do all things?
Know you not that it is Allah to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? And besides Allah you have neither any Walee (protector or guardian) nor any helper.”
[al-Baqarah 2:106-107].
The best way to debate with a qadiani is to discuss on how the Islamic religion is interpreted (the sources, and usool etc) before engaging in topics such as Khatam an nabiyyin or Isa Ibn Maryam etc.
He is saying he's your elder, so respect. No. Elder does not mean he knows more. Never does it mean that. That is, the old trick. If the elder is teaching you something wrong about God & the prophets, no respect to that. Do not listen to the elder or anyone if he is taking you away from the truth.
