I love that you called out the walking around the house shadow swings 😂 that’s legitimately how I’ve been working on my timing. Also don’t mind the longer videos. I appreciate the attention to detail you provide compared to many other RUclips channels that just blow through the steps and don’t talk about key details. Thanks for the content!
I have only been playing a month and I get around 100 extra feet when I run up vs stand still .my technique is terrible but definitely a big difference for me .
@ I’ve been playing since the middle of October and I can throw around 300 from a standstill. When I run up it goes super high on super hyzer and nose dives into the ground around 150-200ft
…” you walk around all the time, most likely”…….a great Segway into relating to the common person. I know how to walk…therefore this video feels like it was meant for me. Thank you Robbie. 😊
You did an absolutely amazing job explaining biomechanics without really saying anything biomechanical, and thats a very special skill good coaches have. I was really very impressed. From now on just skip the explanation (tag this video) and just say build from the ground up.
I learned this during my first few weeks. I started playing in May. But my friend is REALLY good at disc golf. But he SPRINTS into his X step. But he can threw a disc 450’ I knew right off the bat, that wouldn’t work for me. So I slowed it down. I’m still figuring it out. I can throw 280’ max stand still and about 290max x step. Your tutorials really help
I'm not throwing 450 yet. I started in July 2023, & have just reached 400. So the idea for me is to get consistent with getting to that point. However if I start going past, I will be jumping for joy!
Years ago, I was at the 2014 Ace Race with a friend. And since it was an Ace Race, it was short holes. 2014 was the 9 speed Heat. They would chuckle at me because my movement was slow, but would still be able to get a good rip off the disc. I stopped throwing for ~10 years, and am coming back. I am around the 250-275 mark with a driver, and am Really wanting to push past 300, at least. People would think I should be throwing it far, because I'm a bigger guy, but I know my form is off if I can't get that far. I am watching these Road To videos from you, and going to implement some of your tips to my own "Road to 300+". I think the next time I go out to the fields, I'm going to really slow down everything. Start standstill, walk through the X-step. Really focus on the upper body twist, the grip, and the snap.
Been loving the videos! I’ve been working on my max distance a lot lately too. Where is this park in Birmingham? I live here as well, but am having a hard time finding a good enough wide open place to throw.
Last shot camera angle was great showing that perfect rhythm and just the slightest amount of extra push @ full extension! And now off to a serious note I will never watch a video all the way to the end mr. Pete was rite you r an ?
Here's my huge problem: I work on a perfect run up in a field and when I go to use it on a course I'm like, well that teepad isn't long enough. My legs are long and my plant foot comes down 3 feet forward from my x-step left foot. For my perfect foot work, my right foot has to step onto the very back of the teepad then my x-step is coming across the rear lip. This throws my timing all off and robs my distance.
What was the thing you forgot to do at the end of the video? And what was the hand signal? Am I missing something? I'll say it outright. That looked unmistakably like a "white power" hand sign. Was it? If not, what was it? If so, is that really what you're about?
Sure some folks say "don't make the videos too long"......yep good advice. But I have a different request. Can you PLEASE either turn down the volume on, or better yet just completely cut out, the little music bit in the intro? It's wicked annoying (and completely unnecessary). Every time I sit down to watch one of your (otherwise great and very helpful) videos, just as I settle in I get blasted by that little "music" bit (which did I mention was extremely annoying?). Especially for those of us that watch a lot of your input....we've already heard/seen it many times before and it serves no use whatsoever. This would also make your videos a bit shorter, without losing any of the useful bits at all, which would help for the first issue. Sorry if this comes across as complaining........I really like your content, advice, knowledge, enthusiasm, and general vibe otherwise. Thanks Robbie.
Try the other extreme by going really fast, even adding a °360 to help with learning the correct timing and then imagine yourself giving someone a flying People's Elbow to the face! And say KeeYi !! 🥷🏻 🫸🏻🤛🏻 #eaglefangkarate
i'm one of the ones that supports 25 minute long robbie videos. he's so easy on the eyes and warm for ones heart in this coming winter.

Congrats on the new addition!! Enjoy it..goes by so fast!!
You are gem Robbie. Keep it up.
you should do a standstill vs run up distance challenge.

My standstill goes farther than my runup
Welcome to the world of disc golf! Good luck on your next adventure!
Ball gazzer 😂 thats 2🤜🤜

I really like your passion. And thanks for helping me get my arm better in speed. Merry christmas🇸🇪☃️

I’m doing pretty good, thanks for the shoutout. Also, worked on this earlier and it gave me some effortless power. Excited to work more tmrw
I relate this to playing beach volleyball, be lazy until the time for the explosive power timing coming through with spiking or even blocking.
Great stuff
I’ve played with Zachary Nash!
Great kid!
Killer video! Time to work on this 👊🏽
Walk up, cross over, foot down, disc out. Fucking love it
Great video, would love too see where you are in the road to 450, did you gain a bit of distance with the slower run up? Or just consistency?
I gained 45-80 ft by slowing down, because smoother is better, and the consistencywas much better also.

Thanx Robbie great tip im in that spot now but trying to slow down 😅 its hard we all want to drop the bomb😉

You should try Robbie ´s online lessons ,after the 1 st lesson added constincency, after 2 lessons 30-35 feet….and still going up..
@benoitsouligny863 Great gains man!
I definitely will look up his lessons. I found Robbie through Foundation, and love how he teaches!
Tall Paul has that slow power to. It always amazes me to see him throw .😮
I was wondering in the beginning if you were going to bring up Too Tall Paul Omen lol
Danny Lindahl states: "slow is smooth and smooth is far."

Gardendale! It’s the soccer fields to the right of holes 1 and 2!
Hey! That’s the first place I ever did field work

Kind of makes me think of a crow hop, compared to an infield throw, compared to a pitcher throw.
You zoomed in on it. I got scammed. Lol

That circle was dirty 😮
👊
Whenever I see these, I can’t help but wonder “so, how far did they actually go?”

Did you just throw a gang sign at the end? What was that hand sign?😂
I hope you have a merry Christmas.
I will pray for your wife and baby 🙏
👌
🎉
What does that hand symbol at the end of the video mean?
I was wondering the same thing.
Petition to make the field work music the intro song
Your video length should be whatever the algorithm will give you for the most ad cents.
I want hour videos

This advice annoys me, it’s misleading. Slow down to fix your form and then once it’s solid speed back up to generate power.
This channel has helped me improve and get a better understanding of what I'm doing wrong, or right.
Robbbie C., thank you! 🤙🏼🥏💨🗑🔥
