I have! Here's a review after a few months of extensive use. Read the comments to see how I think it compares to the Mesa Trail... ruclips.net/video/ba3YAmII8PA/видео.html
Thanks for this review. Do they shed water quickly? Would you recommend these for trails with multiple creek crossings where you don't want to be taking shoes off and on all the time?
The uppers on the Mesa Trail and new Mesa Trail II are quite breathable and light. I don't remember trying them on multiple, submerged crossings though so I'm not sure if the bottom of the shoe would trap water and "squish". I don't think their are drain ports like some shoes have. v2 version has a laminate running around the top of the sole as well, so that might actually trap water in. Hard to test right now because all we have are snow and ice at the moment! Still, these shoes are low to the ground and pretty minimalist. My best guess, is you'd be fine as long as you lace them up tightly.
Good question. I have a pair of Vivos on the way and will try to remember to make a comparison video as soon as they arrive. In the meantime, Xero Shoes are definitely wider than "mainstream" shoes I've used, but not excessively so. The Altras I've tried on seemed roomier than my Xero Shoes (too much so for my foot), but my Nike Terra Kigers seemed narrower than Xero Shoes, though still pretty wide. I equate Xero Shoes to something like a 2E if you were buying widths, maybe slightly larger.
This is a question of personal preference. I've used these both ways, as the stitching is thoughtful. In my idealistic mind, I'd run barefoot because it feels more minimalistic. However, socks tend to be more comfortable and keep the shoes from smelling as horrible as barefoot! You can go either way with these and do fine.
Hope you like them. I've never loved the style, but they've been a good shoe on the trail for the workout and grounded feel I like. Tread is wearing out faster than I thought, but I've also put a beating on them.
Their sandals are shit and most of their shoes are super ugly. These trail mesa shoes look awesome and actually last which is good, but unfortunately for me rhey were just too narrow, my feet are WIDE
Have you tried the scrambler low? How do you compare to the Mesa trail?

@@Ruinyourknees awesome, thanks
Great review thank you!!
Do you wear socks with this style shoe? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I’m not familiar with this type shoe.

You might have gotten the mesa trail II so they'll actually be better then the previous version.
@@Thebirdemoji Just got the Terra Flex II and I love them.
