    Very helpful and informative. It would be awesome if you did another wiresheet for programming a hot water plant

      L. Cross Jr it would be good if you could do more on training on how to write software for chillers and fan coiled units etc

    You are not a good instructor. Your process of explaining a subject is all over the place. There are so many errors during your lectures, which causes confusion.

      Glad to hear from you, which specific errors exist so I can address them.

      If I remember correctly this is Distech GFX that I used in this video. So you'd need to get access to their software most likely through a dealer or distributor.

    Thanks Phil, I got a question. When you needed to use VFD speed 30% adj you put internal constant 30 but when needed OAT less than 60F you put " < less than " function. So, can't we use the same logic "less than as max point or vice versa" ? I mean can they be the same or completely different? Sorry if my question is unclear as it is to me too.

      So how I did it was I read the entire CCT manual. Then I went into the Q/A builder built out programs and started to analyze how they work.
      If you have the HVAC theory down the trick to CCT is learning how the state table and mux blocks work. Those are pivotal to building state based programming.

      Thanks Phil's will help to start with CCT learnings. Please keep on podcast as it helps many to learn for people who are in this field.
      Thanks 👍🙏

    Hi how can I convert pid output to on off for 3 point floating actuator

    • @SmartBuildingsAcademy
      @SmartBuildingsAcademy  Год назад

      Typically you would use a floating block in your programming software for this.

    I understand your teaching a lesson and on a time crunch, but teaching new techs to be this sloppy when programming is horrible. Its setting techs up and future people working on other peoples programs for failure. 15 more minutes would teach people correctly. I have been in tens of classes on programming and no one has been this sloppy.
    As well as the use of using internal variables for setpoints is no good. Why make it so you have to open a tree on a jace change a setpoint? Many customers want these to be adjustable in the supervisor or on the graphics on the supervisor! This way just sets people up for failure!
    I feel so bad for these students. What a mess. Couldnt even explain a hysteresis

      Yep I tend to be loose with our free stuff because honestly it's free. But you make a good point, some folks this is all they see and I should redo this to give a proper representation of programming layout like I do in our course.
