I played the piano on this: true story. Couple of guys from Hull did it, I was working at the local music school. They played me some white label stuff, and “The Way It Is” (Bruce Hornsby and the Range), and I was running out of time (had lessons to teach). I jammed for 5 minutes and they recorded it. I got 30 English pounds for playing that, but hey. Glad folk like the piano (the other 2 guys did/sampled the rest).
One of the most sublime and melodic tunes of its generation and a remix that is often forgotten which makes this even more special....and, THE PIANO rift at the end is pure biblical ❤

It's not the pure original Sickboy's Courtyard Mix. That one is 42 seconds longer. Even the vinyl picture indicates that. This one is (probably) a custom version of that with a slightly faster tempo that provides a more energetic feel and overall a better flow to the track. I assume it has some additional audio tweaks as well, because I stretched my original Sickboy's Courtyard Mix (FLAC format) from 8:49 to 8:07 using Sony Vegas, but the results were a little bit different than what I can hear in this video. But maybe I only think it because I was listening it in FLAC format.
Its the vinyl in the pic... but pitched up on the turntable..... thats all. Probs +4 cant remember... only pitched them to save time when recording over 1000 vinyl...... (ball ache)
The track is sped up on a turnable using the pitch slider so the length of the video will be shorter than the stated duration due to this. Sounds to me the pitch is about +8% if played on a Technics 1200/1210 mk2 or around +10% if on another brand deck as it sounds way too fast from the original speed.
