They need to make a movie of this called “smile always” where it’s about these insane scientists getting people to smile and it goes wrong to where people are smiling but are also edging closer to insanity. That’ll be amazing.

The accident was human error. Not completely, but mainly. Yes, the actual fault when the cart stopped in the middle of the ride was because of the Smiler, but the only reason there were injuries was because the employee sent them off, even when the cart didn't come back.
To all of the Karen’s and Snowflakes and idiots out there, the crash was caused by human error. Keep in mind you only hear about a coaster of something bad happens or when they open, this ride is perfectly safe, hell, it usually breaks down nowadays because the ride senses something is wrong too often. It is extremely sensetive to faults now so give it a break.

I always thought that the alternative theme for this coaster was that it was in a military aircraft testing airfield and you were testing a new variant of fighter jet to fast for a normal pilot to withstand, the actual route of the coaster would work extremely well with the twists and turns of a jet fighter like an f-16 of 15 , the actual train would also represent a jet fighter as well. Just an idea

I have been on The a Smiler 7 times since it reopened in March , and I can assure all of you that the ride is perfectly safe and secure. Safety measures are in place in the event of a breakdown and staff training has been improved. So stop complaining and fear mongering an accident that wasn't the ride's fault!

Katharina Malakouti it's safe now. the accident wasn't even the rides fault, it was staff. trust me went on the ride today and it was fine. the staff are a lot more secure about everything now. it was a freak accident, and yes I do feel bad and sorry for the 16 people who got stick on that ride.
If you're going to blame someone, blame the staff they had at the time. THEY were operating the ride and didn't stop it. The ride is completely safe now and extremely fun, I'd definitely recommend it.
Here's an idea, why don't you shut up and stop blaming the ride when the staff was at fault The Smiler tried to stop the accident which is why it stalled the carriage. It was the staff that overrode the system
The operators OVERRODE the Smilers’ safety system. Which did it’s job and tried to prevent the ride from running. It was human error that caused the accident
