Saw them early 76 at the Warehouse in NO and they absolutely blew the roof off the place, Tommy Shaw had just joined the band and him and JY put on a guitar show for the ages, still to this day one of the top live shows I've ever seen.
Styx sounds great and is such a success Without Dennis....nobody needs Pompous and Prideful member aka Dennis to cause drama. Dennis is definitely talented but I don't think Dennis could handle the very talented Tommy as his bandmate. And Dennis voice is fading as he's aged....Gowan does great and I'm a die hard fan from the 70s!! Saw LG..and he is so talented. The rock and roll hall of Fame means NOTHING to me....too many great bands not there while others in should not be in there.
JY I have loved your music for a lifetime you guys are one of my favorite bands of all time. But you and Tommy need to put the ego aside. Quit acting like babies and bring Dennis back to tour for 50 years of great music. Do it for the fans not because you have egos that hated Denises more fluffy lyrics. Come on man do it for us
Stop it. That’s like asking your ex to move in no matter how miserable it makes everyone. This happens in bands all the time. Watch the CMN concert. It was just a miserable thing watching them play as unhappy as they all were.
It was not Dennis' love ballads. JY and Tommy were insanely jealous of him. Babe went to #1 without their help. You can only stand on stage and play guitar for so long. Both music change and fans get older. Dennis tried to adapt they didn't
@@PikesvilleAl Wow, who put controlled substances in your cheerios? Dennis wanted a cross between Broadway and Chucky Cheese Pizzatime theater. Here: let me do my salute to vaudeville behind my keyboards, 🎶 the best of times, are when I'm controlling you🎶...and the rest of you...stand there and play like little Robotos, until I activate you! So, after 14 years of fans waiting, and a new album in the can? It was DDY instead of JC, left behind, while the band " carried on!" Stop blaming Tommy and JY for saving the band. Let the classic era be " Gone Gone Gone." They are back on Mission, now, and not handicapped by the Crash of Dennis' Crown anymore. Lol

JY. Good sir. May my strength of dealing with loss be yours. Keep being strong. Keep enjoying what you love to do. Whatever makes your day I support.

Great interview. Love how JY gives you insight on his life with his late wife. Stay strong JY, we're happy you are moving forward...
JY has been a hero of mine since the late 70s!
Love ft❤
Oh wow, your family has been through alot, so sorry. 🤘🙌
No idea how I stumbled on this but I would not go see Dennis if he lived next door. Band is so much better without him. Wonderful band.
Karma will come calling for JY
Dr righteous?😳
