- The best comparison between the two games Sons of the forest (2023) and The forest (2014), I will compare the most important similarities, physics, details, textures and special places in the game. The entire video was created by myself (GameLight).
Sons of the Forest is an open world game where you have to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, you find yourself in a cannibal-infested hellscape. Craft, build, and struggle to survive, alone or with friends, in this terrifying new open-world survival horror simulator.

the detail of the island inhabitants mourning for their dead kinda makes me sad
but also i think its cool they added this detail, like it makes them more than just "weird scary monster that looks human"

Honestly they don't look like games 10 years apart. SOFT looks nicer but the mechanics are basically a sidegrade.

@@kekw_o ну так инвентарь в новом форесте полнейшее дерьмо, нет теперь хоткеев, нужно в рюкзак закладывать итемы и по середине файта останавливаться чтобы хильнуться. Выглядит это все прикольно но дальнейший UX полного дерьма и кроме дискомфорта из себя ничего не представляет

i really like if they add more variaty of enemies, sons of the forest only replaced the old enemies with the new enemis but no a variaty at all....more variaty of mutants and ranged cannivals, and mini bosses specials located in all map and caves with special items after kill them

@@najaisthaltso7739 that's literally the meaning for 4 times the size, english probably isn't your first language but multiplying the surface area of a square map by 4 increases each axis by a factor of 2
this game is incredible but there sure is a charm to the og one
SOTF combat is a lot harder! the enemies can parry your attacks now.. you cant just rush towards them and start swinging
they hit harder as well

I have no problem with cannibal but i hate those twins and fingers mutant and there are alot of them in the cave i always avoid those 2 if possible.
@@Jaro2000 fingers are kinda easy, you just have to hit their legs to stun them. Its easy with spear and crossbow

not really, it is a whole different game, similar because that would not make any sense if they would completely change what people liked, good to remember that is is also on early access so there is a lot to come.

Ngl the original is better in terms of inventory and stick collecting from small trees. I personally cannot stand how slow you pan in the new inventory system. Fortunately the new hotkey update makes it a little more bearable.

Sons of the forest is only an early acces title with many things to come, while the forest is a finished game. So its pretty early to compare them.

Я знаю, что игра в альфе, и я уже прошел сюжет и скажу, что в целом мне все понравилось, но корявый и не понятный сюжет(очень надеюсь они его допилят), оч мало разных построек и элементов декора(нет той же телеги для дров или трофеев итд), и не хватает иногда контента на острове. Очень надеюсь, что они будут выпускать годные обновы и не обосрутся, т.к они сами обещали добавлять новые механики и предметы. Возлагаю на игру большие надежды, т.к потенциал у нее ебеший

its in early accses right now so they will probably release it to consoles when its fully complete, fixed and optimized ( probably will take a year or more)

I played Sekiro, oh the bosses there are very difficult, I couldn't finish the game 😂. I'll check out the trailers mate, I'm mainly focusing on open world games and AAA games as well. If they are really trying to create a copy, then we'll see
Remember guys, SOTF is still on early access, the thing is with all that physical buildings, animations, object's physic and insane graphic come with it. We can 100% expect the developer to update all the great mechanics from the forest and farther, add new futures which SOTF's community would love to see
The features from the first game should have been there from the get go. I don't respect the rug pull they did saying it's now early access just mere weeks before the release date.

Вся фишка фореста, в уникальной системе выживание, включающей в себя разновидность приспособлений и конструкций, а так же различных инструментов которые можно найти или сделать. Сюжет туда закинули просто чтобы он был, как вишенка на торте.

Играю на i5 10400f, RTX 2060 super 8gb, 16гб озу, На фулл максималках, без длсс 45-50фпс, с длсс на качество 55-60фпс. Максимально играбельно. Советую игру на ссд ставить, очень долгая загрузка в мир

@@kto_napisal-lox в ютубе есть такая тема как автоматическая локализация. При загрузке видео автор указывает название/описание/таймкоды сразу на нескольких языках, и в зависимости от региона, пользователь видит нужный ему язык. Как-то так

Форест 2 разочаровал меня сильно. Да есть дополнения в физике и тд., но сюжетка очень не понятная и не дополняет людям что и как происходит (то есть ты проходишь и не понимаешь зачем ты это делаешь). А в форесте первом сюжетка получше выглядит.

Вся фишка фореста заключается в уникальной системе выживания, включающей в себя различные конструкции, ловушки и другие сооружения. А так же инструменты которые можно сделать или найти. Сюжет сюда добавлен просто чтобы у игры было направление, как вишенка на торте.

В Sons of the Forest деревья как будто гнилые или высохшие совсем и звук урара соответственно
Сейчас все шикарно в игре, 20 часов сюжетка пройдена, разница между играми огромна, что в графике что в ии, естественно самое интересное играть с друзьями и выживать .
О какой сюжетке речь 0_О Да и прошел я ее за 6 часов игры с тупняками
Я на первом the forest играл на минимальных в 40-60 фпс всю игру. Боюсь если я запущу эту часть у меня и одного кадра не будет
@@yee980 запускал новую часть на i5-11400f и 1660ti. На самых высоких дай бог 40 кадров, а на самых самых низких около 55-60. Так что да, оптимизация хромает в новой части

В основном про копию и то что новый форест говно пишут те у которых компьютер 2005 года и не тянет ничего кроме майнкрафта на низких настройках.

9 years and SOTF looks like a modded version of first game. Very disappointing.
Форест даже после релиза выглядит и играется как малобюджетная кривая xpeнь. Вторая часть сейчас того же уровня. Т.е. прогресса по минимуму, и вряд ли будет сильно лучше на релизе.
