    Great ideas. I'm working on the same thing. I know this is 2 years old, but if not done already or mentioned, I would recommend putting some large rocks around the base of your bushes and trees (on top of a decent mulch layer in addition to the wire. Bush and tree feeder roots are very shallow and grow out to the edge of the canopy. If chickens can dig withing that area they can damage these roots.

    Those chickens are sure spoiled. Wish I had your gardening know-how. All your "edibles" are amazing! Unfortunately, I pretty much have a black thumb! LOL
