Yes, show us how to add a drainage hole without drilling. Nice plants. Love the round pots. Hoyas have gotten pricey since the pandemic. I don't buy 2 leaf cuttings even if rooted. I did buy a tiny 2 inch rooted cutting of var. Hindu rope for $15. I paid around $50 for 3 uprooted cuttings of linearis. BTW Lowe's has been getting lacunosa royal flush ($20) lately. Prices seem to be coming down (slowly) on hoyas.
Ok I will 😊 I feel like buying 2 leaf cuttings could be addictive because they are so small and you could easily fill up a shelf of them lol why was it uprooted?

my Walmart in CA kills with with their Hoyas. I find more there than the other big box stores
Ugh, I’ve had some crazy experiences buying Hoyas online too! It makes me nervous to order plants online at this point.

Hoyas can be expensive. It really does depend on the plant how much I will spend. I am not spending hundreds on any plant. My big box stores don’t ever have Hoyas. Not even the local nurseries have many. So I am stuck with online sellers. I have also found prices change and sometimes waiting reduces the price. Other times I don’t want to wait. 😂
Haha I completely understand that. There’s two that I would like to have that I’m waiting to see if the price drops.
Fun video and “yes” Hoyas have become pricey! I only have 21 Hoyas but so far the most I have paid for a 6 inch very full pot is $35.00. Macro Phylla with seven plants. I can’t see me spending more than $100.00 for a Hoya and it would have to be rare as well as a plant I couldn’t live without. 😊. Love all these Hoyas and the pots you got! 👌🪴🥰
I love buying fuller pots. It’s so much more for your money and I just like more established plants. Exactly I couldn’t believe how expensive some of these plants were. I think buying Hoyas has made me cheap lol
Oh yeah can’t wait to see the other hoyas, and repot. Also, the drainage hole thing would be cool too. Yeah hoyas can get pricy, haha I bought some that are like 50 bucks for a one leaf cutting. Don’t judge me LOL! I don’t have any big hoyas, because I can fit in like 300 small hoyas for now.

I definitely don't use newspaper shavings 😂 I wonder if you ordered from Queenie haha I love her. I use poly Phil and accordion paper haha 💗💗💗 love that you are getting into Hoya again 💗💗🌿🌿
Your experiences are a good reminder to keep with my strategy of buying cuttings rather than rooted plants when I can. I did however buy a hoya wayetii from lowes this weekend. i didn't want one that big, but I got to it before they could dump a gallon of water in it. 😝😝😝
I don't know after purchasing a few hoya I much rather spend a little more and get an established plant. I have so many stories to tell with my part 2 haul. I am also discouraged from buying from sellers who are just starting out even though I want to help them out. They are just not on the same level some times.
The most I’ve spent on a Hoya was $30 for a 6in Hoya carnosa compacta. Luckily, I can find Hoyas for decent prices in my area (I live in Texas and Louisiana)

Hoyas in general are very popular right now so the prices are up there.
I just started collecting Hoya. In my area (western Oregon) I'm paying $30 for 4 inch pots. Some have been fuller like my pink princess but my Macrophylla variagata was a 3 leaf cutting.
Interestingly enough my crimson queen was my least expensive but I bought that about 16 years ago before I even knew much about plants! Haha.
Your Hoya are beautiful. It’s easy to fall down the Hoya rabbit hole 😊 Sorry that your big box stores don’t carry Hoya. Where I live in Virginia they are quite common. But, as soon as they come in , someone from the local plant groups will notify people . So, you have to hurry there to get them. I was lucky I found my princess, queen, and compacta at big box stores.

Yes i want to know how to make the holes without drilling. Love the round pots I cant find any in my area your hoyas will look amazing in those pots. I will wait until Lowes gets them no way am I buying a 2 " cutting when they grow so slow I have a few hoya in 4" pots I just got the princes today at Lowes and it is so wet I hope it doesnt die $ 20. Love your hoya thank you for sharing .

Hoyas are expensive lol I picked up the same Crimson Princes a couple of weeks ago, it’s so different from other one. The leaves are so much bigger an rounder an color is amazing. I love it 🥰 and yes you really have too check out Hoyas before you buy them. Awesome collection 💚

I've been seeing RUclipsrs shopping great plants at Lowes in the MidWest, but out on the west coast we have nothing special at a box store.
It depends on the Hoya, but yes they are really pricey. I would not pay more than $20, $30 or $40 for a 6' inch pot. I definitely haven't paid more than $ 50. But that's just me.
Yeah I have definitely been price checking but I find that some hoyas are hard to get at those prices, especially nice full pots.
Here in Mass they are plenty at about 20.00 I have 2 hugh princess and growing well. I guess where your living.

Pricing for Hoya usually depends on rarity, time to grow, and difficulty to maintain. 🙃 Some of my Hoya have been growing for a while and they are not ready to list because they are so slowwwww to grow
Yeah I understand prices compactas higher because they grow slower but plants like the polyneura or linearis are faster growers and should definitely be lower. The garden center I was working out severely over prices their Hoyas and they are so overwatered. Way worse than what lowes does lol
@@RootingMindfully I agree with you there. Until recently, they were pretty elusive Hoya types. They are coming down in price for sure. The needs of the community and so fast to change too, it's hard to keep up what is popular at the moment. This could cause some shops to be out of touch with pricing. It is all so crazy!
when I lived in a downstairs apartment, the upstairs people I called donkeys. they were so loud, and he was like, hammering something on his outside patio at 10 pm. what is wrong with people??

Hey it’s what you wanted lol That’s how much the one is that I was looking at but it was only one node.
I wish I had seen this video before I adventure into Hoya Hindu rope plant. It has been on my wish list forever but very hard to find in my area. So I have to order them online. You are right about being careful because I have ordered form several sellers. You ordered one thing and it looked nothing like the picture. I will not order Hoya Hindu rope plants on line again. Maybe I will be lucky to find one when I travel south this summer. Please do update us after you repot your latest haul. Unless I have messed it. I’m sure you will do a great job. Thanks for sharing my collection love and appreciate your suggestions.
