Just bought my first motorcycle at the age of 80 and chose the 2023 Honda Monkey and got my motorcycle endorsement. Just thought it would be fun and give me something to do. Never to late to start having some fun. Like this video, of course everyone things I am crazy, maybe I am.
Thanks!! It was really tough with all of the rocks and single roller jumps. Not many opportunities to pass, but I don’t think I had the pace to do much anyways, those guys ahead were pretty quick!
The Honda monkey was never intended to be a race bike, unless mabe heavily modified. What you are doing is amazing and you seem competitive. My monkey is a good trail bike for the speeds that I ride at my age 66 years. It's quiet, reliable and the most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle. I did have to make the 14 tooth sprocket change to keep it in the power range to be able to use 4th gear.
Oh it’s totally not a race bike and is actually a pretty bad choice for one! BUT, sometimes the fun of racing is racing things that aren’t supposed to race. You’re using the Monkey exactly what it’s supposed to be used for, enjoy it how it is and make it yours where you see fit 👍

Haha, I wasn’t a fan of this track for the monkey, but maybe one of the Florida tracks would suit me better!
