Once i seen a guy playing rimworld as german soldiers spawnee in the middle of a city and was able to watch live how he struggled to survive hordes of the city's people fighting him because he agro them . He died horrible when his people started to fall wounded and he got bombed by mortars it was so fun . So i wanted to give this idea of starting wit 10 soldiers in a city and getting raided making a more combat based game
Great video, just one question: did you have something on disabling the colonist needs? I attempted something like this recently and that's been a problem since it takes time and resources to travel, and the more bases I 'liberate' the farther I have to travel.
So specifically for this video i didnt bother taking care of them all i would change them out for new soldiers if their needs got too low or i would use dev mode to increase them
With a shooting skill of 5 the most dangerous thing to that army is itself. Friendly fire is one Hell of an issue when everyone is moving around with no proper firing line.
This could be a cool scenario where instead of building your own base, you start as an invasion force and take over a base. Then you have the goal to take out or subjugate all other opposition

when i do something like this i add some of the 40k mods that have super high damage numbers. kinda evens out my army of militec gene soldiers with 20 combat skills and cybernetics and what not when 400 necron scarabs literally eat my base like the grey goo.

Here's an idea for you! Try playing RimWorld, but your colonists can only ever use nonlethal weapons, like EMPs, smoke launchers, etc. Basically a slightly easier pacifist run. I recommend CE because of the amount of weapons it adds that can make this more logical, like flashbangs, concussion grenades, and beanbag shotgun shells.
