I'd say more of the cover display features and a slimmer hinge overall 😁 oh and the text to speech which was something that wasn't mentioned in this review
still using flip 3 and hope a few months later the software update same with flip 4
People complaining about the small upgrade, but they forget that it comes with same pricing as the old model while released. It's a win win while some companies always adding the price while releasing new model. So, Samsung is so clever with the strategy for both old and new model. The rest, customer to decide.

I'd actually say this is a quite large upgrade. 2 generations newer chip + water resistance + some camera improvement

If you have a flip3 this is a no brainer.. $99 after trade in, free case and a $100 credit. Not bad for a slight upgrade

I love Samsung Flip phones they're stunningly gorgeous.
I currently own the Z Flip 3... and honestly, I do not see the need to upgrade. Besides the battery spec I don't see why they released a New model so Quick. Don't get me wrong, I love my flip, but they are no mayor changes worth upgrading to the 4 so fast.
a significantly better camera would've pushed me to upgrade my flip 3 to 4 but it doesn't seem that impressive tbh 🥲

Yea the upgrade price from flip 3 to 4 is only 99$ tho and it comes with a case plus 100$ if you pre registered...thats the Phone, case and headphones for 129. Not a bad upgrade for the new camera, battery and slimmer bezels. Idk I'm debating it

Not worth full price if you have a Flip 3 now, but for about $100 after trade-in its’s a decent deal.
I wasn't planning on upgrading but the $900 trade in credit for the z flip 3, a free ring case, and a free galaxy watch 5 made it worth it for $100 dollars.
Plus now I got double the storage, a better battery and stronger screen.
How did you get the watch for free?

You must've opted into another plan to get that watch for free 🤣. Samsung ain't that generous.
@@damerabbit the day preorders started they had a couple promo codes for accessories, ended up with $300 in credits so used it for a watch.... everything is unlocked

Everyone keeps mentioning "quick replies" from the outer screen, but no one actually shows it. I have a feeling it's the gimped "select from these pre-selected messages" version. There's no reason they couldn't give us a small keyboard on the outer display to fire off a quick custom message. The outer display is larger than the one on the Galaxy Watch and that device gives you a full keyboard.
Mr who's the boss who did show it in action and it uses text to speech with a much improved speech engine which understood his entire paragraph exactly work for word

@@Gravage actually it was also shown in the mini trailer for the flip 4 at the beginning of the galaxy unpacked event it also showed the ability to finally use emojis as well to reply
I have to give props to Samsung that they upgraded the Flip by putting in a chipset that is TWO generations ahead from last year. They could've easily decided to go with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. But by putting in a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset into the Flip 4, that means it will have a better chipset than what's in Samsung's current top-of-the-line flagship phone - the S22 Ultra.

I bought flip 3 yesterday from back market refurbished for £450 and I don’t regret in fact saved over £500 atleast . Flip 4 looks same works same just battery won’t make any difference unless you are heavy user .

I've had the Z Flip 3 for a year. I love it. I should hold off on getting the Z Flip 4, but I like the new battery life and other features but the fact it still comes in purple 💜, I'm sold! Plus, I reserved & got serious discounts on the phone, watch, and earbuds! God! I can't wait! 🤤

I bought flip3 today from back market for £450 exclellent condition and I don't regret it looks exactly same ..I saved over £600
I might do the same next year for this model if no better phone gets announced. It also looks like they have finally perfected the tech behind folding screens.
Can't say I can see anything that makes me wanna pay another $1250-1300 (that's the price in Sweden for it)
3h extra battery feels ok but mostly Meh, more use of the front display is what I'm looking for and those were also kind of Meh.
But never say never, if I can get it cheap from my operator rebinding my phone subscription, I'd pay up to $700 maybe.

All I know is when you go Flip you never go back. I love the compact format, reminds me of the olden days when phones were supposed to be as small as possible, not the opposite :D

I preordered the flip 4 for my wife and they offered her $900 for her flip 3....only paid $100 for the 4.
Yo! So this might be a stretch, but does anyone have any recommendation on if I should get the flip 3 or 4? My current phone (iPhone 11) just broke and is unusable, if I get the 4, I’d have the minor upgrades but I’ll have to wait like a week to actually be able to have any phone, if I get a three I could get it tomorrow. If anyone has any input I’d appreciate it!
i would definitely suggest you to hold on a little longer like you said and go with the 4. I have just got the 3 and am absolutely in love with it, but i cannot deny the fact that the upgrades that have been brought onto the 4 as exactly what I wish the 3 did better (better battery life, a bit better of a camera, and a more efficient SOC, as the 888, especially in a phone like the flip tends to heat up quite a lot)

I’m strongly considering buying it mainly for the aesthetics, and customization freedom. I currently have the iPhone 13. It would be a downgrade with some of the specs, but honestly, idk I’m still considering the Z flip 3. I just love the innovation 😂 how do you like it so far?

I wanted a Flip 3 A LOT but kept reading horror stories of the screen breaking where it folds, just by itself out of nowhere OVER & OVER AGAIN. If they fixed that, I really want a Flip 4.
Saved yourself I had the flip z 3 and if I would've known the s22 ultra trade in value was the same ast flip z 3 value in samsung shop I wouldn't have switched, now I can't get the flip z 4 cause I would be downgrading even tho it would cost me like 80$ s22 us superior only option I get is the fold 4 bor 690$
Yep, we charged the phone back to samsung today. The phone restarts and freezes randomly. We sent it back to samsung and they sent it back in worse condition, while wiping the phone when they said they wouldn't. I assume the warranty department will have a class action lawsuit at some point in time as others have said.
@@tcr73903 Exactly the kind of stuff I kept reading. I'm not a Samsung hater, I love my S10 for going on 3 years, but I want to be sure they"ve perfected the flip technology before I make the switch.
So I've had the flip 3 since it launch and have had absolutely 0 issue with the hinge display. I open and close it atleast 30 times a day and often times find myself fidgetting with the folding screen when I'm bored at work so the folds it does daily are probably much higher. I think the people reporting issues with the display either have preproduction models with an inferior display or are just inordinately rough on their phones

The new Flip is tempting, but I still have my S21 Ultra. The July software update made my phone basically useless for a month and left a bitter taste in my mouth for Samsung products. I think I will wait and see what happens for a little while......I may go back to an Apple product when It is released in Sept/ Oct. Time will tell. Cheers!

Very durable. Only issue my wife had with the Flip3 was the screen protector started bubbling after nearly 1 year. Had the Samsung Care+ and was sent a new phone. She constantly flipped it open. Upgrading to the Fold 4. $900 trade in for a bigger battery, better processor, refined form factor. Plus got the ring case free and $100 galaxy buds.

This is such an uneducated comment and unrealistic expectation 🙄 the hinge will always lead to reduction in specs since it takes up room inside the phone plus S22 Ultra costs 300$ more than the Flip4 so how come you expect more from the cheaper device?

My z flip3 screen protector started cracking at the fold after 3 months use. I believe me opening and closing my phone during the winter made it Crack. The screen works fine but the protector is shot. Smh
im staying with the z flip 3 count me out maybe when they add 3 cameras for those extra wide angles then ill switch maybe z flip 5 idk

Very bad phones,had 2 x Flip 3,they break,the fold system after 7 months was broken, Samsung make no repair without the invoice even if this happened after 11 months from launch of the phone.
Dont upgrade until the phone is almost dead , it will be 5,6,7,8 etc…, like iPhone 😀
400mah gonna give 3 hours more? Samsung is dumb, need to learn more from the razor. I pre-ordered my flip4, but realistic it's the same phone just the pre-order deals are great. The 3 and 4 are not worth full retail.

I have the iPhone 13, and it’s only 3,227 mAh . I am a HEAVY phone user, and I feel that’s pretty good for me. When I first got it, I was actually impressed with the battery life, but being that it’s the newest generation, I thought it would be more 😂
@@Mel-so2rw Apple did a great job, though ip13 power consumption can not be compared to zflip. Samsung stated the new one would give additional 30mins of juice fm the predecessor model. Zflip 3 battery life only lasts about 6-8 hours of usage.
