- I continue and finish this current Arknights Event: Come Catastrophes or Wakes of Vultures! Here's my playthrough and also we face the Boss Battle against Clip Cliff. Overall what an event this was, from the storytelling, character development, the fun and interesting mechanics of the stages, solid 10/10. Though towards the end I was a little underleveled I'm glad I saw it through to the end. Thanks for those who tuned into my playthrough of this event, definitely glad I checked it out and Clip Cliff...it's not over (ㆆ_ㆆ)

Now you need to remember ONE thing:
(almost) EVERY boss starting from 4-10 will revive with full health and have more stats/different attacks
Also know as *I reach 50% HP* or *I enter my Phase 2* momentos
To answer your question, no, the event won't be on the side story tab, it will first get a rerun some time in the future and after that it will be available there

The second area part are the EX stages. They are harder than the stages in first part of the event, but the returns are better.

There are actually quite a few ways to cheese him, but a newer player is unlikely to have any of them. You did great for your first event, though! Often times, newer players tend to get stuck on the first couple stages prior to the boss. When this event reruns next year, you'll get your revenge for sure, haha.
I’ll let you know now that Cantabile is actually a fantastic unit. A trained assassin from childhood she’s a quick redeploy vanguard who builds DP with every attack while her skills are active, and both her skills have the potential to activate the moment she steps on the field.
This makes her great for quickly throwing her into small corners of the stage to pick off problems, or placing her behind a wall to farm DP from an oncoming wave.
Also she got a pet metal crab from Beanstalk, and this only makes her cuter imo.
Congratulations, Seku, for beating your first *actually* hard event. Compared to Bob and 1 first-year Grani side story - Cliff is not an easy cookie to crack, so it is no shame to let him pass for now - at some point you will get him.
For gameplay advices it is the usual - you need more DP to deploy your guys faster and E2 unit, so you can bring powerful support units in case you need them.
And, conveniently, Myrtle solves both those problems. This is why she recomended to be promoted to Elite 2.
Read what enemies can do, play around their and stage mechanics and diversify your roster.
For example, baddies in this event get stronger the more charges they accumulate, so you can try to prevent them getting charged OR let them get overloaded and cooldown, leaving them with 0 charges and very weak stats.
Or those "Skullshatterer" dudes with splash attacks. You can spread out your ops to reduce a pressure on your medics or/and set a lone operator to bait their attacks.
And by "diversifying" I meant bringing some fast-redeploy unit, who can serve as such bait or even can be used to assassinate problematic dudes, like snipers that charge other enemies.
As for the story.. it is just...

Arknights keep doing this to me, and every time it succeeds.
I can't describe it in one word. The "sad" word is just not enough to express all those mixed feels and emotions.
Now, there is the thing that probably differs in our perception of this story. You see, I'm among those who started Arknights in its earliest days, and I "knew" Jessica effectively for more than 4 years now, so seeing her departing like that is.. hard to put in words.
It may sound weird, silly or unreasonable - in a way, this is just a PNG with voice and some text attached, but it just doesn't feel that way. She doesn't feel like a unit in my roster in the game - she feels like a person with her own challenges, story and goals.
I almost literally witnessed how she grows and changes over those passing years.
So seeing her leaving is.. hard. Even though she is well and sounds, and has companions to share the struggle - she is not there anymore.
So, just to clarify, Jessica effectively cut all ties with Black Steel and left to live in the frontier in Columbia. Technically she is still in contact with Rhodes Island via local branch office of the company, but seeing her in person, as a Doctor, is a very rare and short occasion.

Previously you could almost every day see her practicing hard on the training grounds at the landship.
Or in the Engineering department, testing weapons and equipment, with her usually drops in teary and apologetic mood even over a slightest misstep, after which whoever is around will say that everything is okay and pat her on the shoulder.
But now, she is not there anymore.
And "funny enough", this isn't the first and even not second time Arknights doing this to us. There are other "events" that in the end have left me in a similar shape, just sitting in silence alone with my thoughts for a veeery long moments.
I don't think I ever experienced something similar in any other game (maybe some other media, but can't remember clearly right now), so I really appreciate that.

The fact you are doing this event with mostly 3 stars only is absolutely wild. You have my respect haha. By the way, for later stages I'd definitely recommend trying to get some 6 stars as they will make events much easier. Pulling meta units like Surtr, Mylnar, Typhon, etc. to help you out is always recommended for beginners as it makes events like these easier for you to complete. If you get a chance, maybe cop a Jessica Alter or Ines/Horn in the upcoming TFTW banner. But again, the nice thing about AK is that you don't have to get meta units and can play stages however you like so it's up to you! Awesome video and look forward to more content in the future.
I just wanna jump in and say that this video is lowkey one of the funniest arknights vids I have seen that touches on story and gameplay. ( I really appreciate that you do both)
Your approach to the gameplay was already very good and no shame at all for leaking Cliff. He even gave me a lot of trouble, someone with an 3 year old account.
I am also glad you are enjoying the story of this event which I actually find to be one of the better ones in arknights. And if you think angels with guns are cool, I'm just gonna recommend the "Guide Ahead" Event, which is all about the Sankta. (You can find it in the Side Stories tab)

Fantastic job with the boss. The first run of an event isn't added to side story. But after it's rerun in roughly a year it'll be added to side story like the others. You'll be ready by then.
If you want a chance at taking down Chip before the event ends, i'd STRONGLY recommend promoting one of your ops to e2 so your friend units are upgraded to e2 with masteries. If you have Myrtle, a 4 star vanguard, i'd recommend focusing on her and getting her to e2 and mastering her s1, since she's good at getting lots of DP early on and cheap to upgrade.
While I don't think there's one specific operator that beats Chip, some powerful ops i'd try out is Texas alt, Goldenglow, Surtr, Blaze/Gavial alt, Thorns, Eyja alt, Eyja/Ceobe, Mudrock/Penance, Mountain, and Mlynar/Silverash to name a few. Every op has different strengths and weaknesses, so don't be afraid to try them out and see who works for you. Like Platinum, a 5 star sniper being able to expand her range with her s2, and Lappland, a 5 star guard who's able to inflict silence on enemies, locking them out of using certain skills. Good luck!

Here's a personal advice: centralize your resources and E2 the Myrtle. You will always need her throughout the game, and she's easy to E2 since she's a four star operator. You can borrow the other's E2 operators when there is at least one E2 operator in your squad, and that will make the game much easier.
You are not wrong, but there are two points that i must bring up:
1. From viewer perspective its more entertaining to watch original strategies that aren't to closely tied to meta.
2. While Myrtle undoubtebly is meta unit, stages where you "Must" use her (or other flagbearers) instead of other vanguard archetypes are extremely uncommon.
I would rather recommend building Cantabile cause she's more comfortable to use without bagpipe and more fun to play around with in general.
And, Seku, if you are reading this: unlocking E2 support op basicly means that you can clear almost all stages in the game(if you are willing to use strategies centered around that one support unit) so i just hope that you will enjoy the game and continue to play the way you like👌

Once you beat the later event stages, you gain access to a rare material farming spot with higher drop rates than normal, make use of the remaining time you have and farm them as much as possible!
Clearing the boss stage with 3-4 stars is challenging. Don't worry about letting the boss go in, you can replay it later when it's re-run.
I remember being frustrated to clear the last two stages. CV-7 was a stressful because of the mini-skullshatterer and CV-8 with Cliff. I even borrowed a Surtr from a friend and it didn't save me. But I forgot I was only trying to get a chair so I let him pass xD
Also, letting a boss with a 2nd phase pass counts as 2 enemies. So if you're letting a boss in, make sure no one else passes through.
Enough people have told you about E2ing myrtle so i wont go on about that but the best unit for this stage is by far typhon S3 so try borrowing her. If you put her on the left of the bottom row facing up and activate her skill when the boss enters her attack range both times then she can basically solo him. But honestly cudos to you for getting this far with underleveled units.
It was a very, very good attempt considering your operators and their levels (and lack of E2s 😭).
Something I'm not sure if you did, but will always definitely help you and you should keep doing moving forward, is to do your first run or whatever and go as far as you can. Then, always make sure to check the operation itself and look up the enemies that spawn. So if you looked up 'Clip' Cliff then, on the Enemy Info page right above the "Start" operation, you'd also see that he had a form 2, his ability "Stroke of Thunder", etc. It kind of lets you know what to expect and how to play around it.
Another tip is that in these events, most of the time (not always, but most of the time), the unique event mechanics are there to help you. So make sure you read up on the tutorials that explain them, and play around them where possible. There should've been a tutorial about hitting the heat vents and how that'd charge them up faster (maybe that'd help with slowing and lowering Cliff's DEF more...? 😉).
Also, honestly, you're doing super well with how new you are to the game. A lot of this at this point will be "stat-checks", or the simple fact that while you may have the right idea in mind, you simply don't have the health, nor DPS, to get through the boss mechanics. Keep playing, keep leveling (both their levels AND their skills, don't forget the skills too!!!), and when the event comes back, you'll beat him up easily.

I highly suggest raising Cantabile and set her voice to English. You will not regret it~!!! Also reasons for raising Cantabile: She gives DP everytime she hits an enemy with her skills on. Also i knoe this is going to sound wild but she can be better than Myrtle half the time~

One reason why Cliff so annoying
Is that he have ability to blitz your operators if he eliminated them or you retreat it after he marked them with his skill
And he will can use that skill again if he successfully blitz them
It's make this stage more annoying than hard
Because you can handle the others enemies but then this man just one shot your operators or just enter the blue box casually because you doesn't have enough time to kill him

My first event was Maria Nearl, stage 6 was as far as I got then, I had no ops to beat that, you did way better than me.
Good attempt with the boss, Seku. Just get used to bosses having a phase 2, there are a quite a number of them that does that.
if you want to beat cliff at e1, i'm guessing dorothy s2 bind mines, but if you e2 a 4 star, Rosa s3 would be a decent option for support. the other option would be to debuff his attack with Mouse and shamare, and try to kill him that way.
no, when the event ends, it goes away, it goes to the sidestory after a rerun. unless its an intermezzi where it goes up immediately. I think this is a side story. lemme check. reruns take about a year to occur, 11-13 months.
tried the fight 'low end' cleared it with an e2 90 s3m3 typhon killing the boss phase 2. (tanked phase 1, Let him lap as typhon drilled him with s3 it took pretty much her full clip)
so ...its possible. but you need an e2 + and e2 borrow I think.

I refreshed the supports list for an e2 max level surtr support for a while only to not find and settled for an e2 lvl 64 m2 surtr who just barely left the boss at low hp in the first phase so i just gave up and let clip cliff leak
Cantabile is a really good vanguard and also one if the best operators to put in the reception room in the base

That event made me E2 my Surtr *only* so I can do this boss on 3 stars myself, which makes Surtr my first E2 operator
A good unit for the boss is ceobe in phase 2 the boss has a whopping 3500 defense which scale ceobe's damage tremendously. not the best overall unit but she carried me hard this event.

@@MinoTaurus205 i dont have ops with enough power to kill him outright, so i used lings big summon, hoshiguma, mudrock and jessicalter to soak damage, while mtyar and typhon killed im, with shamare to weaken and activate the vent, i hate this boss, he shouldent be hard hes just fuckin annoyin
