Would advocate the use of a mini makita cordless set #LTC420W to aid in the process of winding and unwinding the models winches the winch keys should fit

Depends what kind and brand some have a very sensitive trigger which just makes it turn slowly usually battery powered drills can turn slowely. Well I got a battery powered drill which is slow

What about using an drill, use the tool as a bit and just go up slowly as if the crane had a motor

Cranes etc I noticed that you said that it takes 15 minutes to erect the crane. it actually takes exactly 11 minutes to set the crane up from arrival on sit to be ready for lifting
It takes 11 minutes from when the outriggers are set (according to Liebherr) so that is the unfolding time.
