My personal favorite would have to have been when Raaj Kumar essayed the role of Chitrasen the kalakaar (artsite) commissioned to do a statue of Rajkumari Neel Kamal- Princess Neel Kamal portrayed by Waheeda Rehman in Neel Kamal (1968). The haunting melody of "Aaja Tujhko Pukare Mera Pyar" all three (3) parts remains the highlight of the film. Waheeda Rehman & Manoj Kumar play Ram & Sita in the film, but she keeps getting pulled back into her past life with Raj Kumar. If you haven't figured it out Neel Kamal (1968) just like Mehbooba (1976) & Karz (1980) is about reincarnation. The afterlife- past life, present life. its all the same. Rest in peace Rafi saab & Raaj Kumar!! May God Almighty have mercy on both of your souls!!
