  • I'm a big believer in the idea that if we want to make important change in the smallest amount of time we need to recognize our skills, become storytellers, know how to change hearts and apply enough pressure to get a company to do what you want them to do.
When that happens, we can win. And Farm Transparency Project is a great example of how that works.

A little off topic but wanted to flag it up for you. Did you see the article in The Guardian about the new "MBA" course offered by the US Beef Industry? MBA = "Masters of Beef Advocacy program". It currently has over 21,000 "student advocates". Sometimes it feels like all of them are on RUclips testing out their arguments on live vegans.
"Inside big beef’s climate messaging machine: confuse, defend and downplay" by Joe Fassler. The Guardian, 1 May 2023.
Quote, "the Masters of Beef Advocacy program teaches ‘scientific sounding’ arguments on cattle’s sustainability in an all-out public relations war."
This is basically what I have been suggesting the vegan movement should have for a long time, and clearly now it needs to. That is to say, a properly structured, open to all but at a higher level of education, course in veganism that deals with health, history, strategy, advocacy, and debunking the opposition's arguments. I literally mean something that would produce "chartered vegans" at the end of it.
To be quite frank, I doubt you could find 21,000 vegan advocates at the present time, so this above is like the National Cattlemen's Beef Association releasing its orc army on the general public.
I don't know how long it has been running for.

I feel that all farms should have mandatory cameras that can be seen by the public and the government.

What an inspiring group of people - Thank you for sharing this win! And wow, you managed to keep it short this time, I was genuinely surprised when the video ended 😂

This was a gutsy sourcing of footage and it was great that the graphic images were shown on national tv so people could see how pigs get killed. But the govt sponsored tv station that showed the footage, made sure they included interviews with a so-called 'ethical butcher' of red meat (that had nothing to do with the pigs) and another interview with a woman pushing the happy, humane farming myth which turned an AR msg into a higher welfare msg. So annoying.

Wow! What an incredible group of people, you included. I wouldn't know about Dominion if you hadn't posted this video. I am definitely going to watch Dominion. I read the book The Chain:Farm, Factory and the Fate of our food and it was truly eye opening. Dominion sounds like it will be a visual representation of the same information. The horrific suffering animals and people who work in these Factory Farms is unbelievable. Rivers of blood literally run through these facilities. There needs to be a massive change made to fix what's gone wrong. We can't allow these corporations to murder millions of animals anymore. It's horrific the things that are allowed in Factory Farms.

I keep asking for 30MT, and I keep getting ignored. But now they're shrinking. It might be in the opposite direction, but I guess it's still progress?

I'm sure if I'd visit a place like that they'd be forced to shut it down immediately in no time. But I also know that , at this real moment, there wouldn't be any chance for me to get closer to places of horror . They see and know everything I do and where I am. In this situation it's impossible any type of activism. At least not an "ordinary " one. 👽🗡️
