Seriously I don’t know what it is about your videos, but everytime it calms me and I end up with a big smile on my face. Beautiful pair of sweet doggos ❤️
May be wrong, but does that "papillon" have an undercoat? Or has it been closely cut several times before? Or is it a mix with a pom?Neutered males sometimes develope a thicker coat. Cute dog. Today is "groomie day" for my papillon. Nails with dremel . Teeth. Clean ears. Bath. Blow dry. Hare foot trim. A little shaping up back legs and thats it. Takes an hour.
My Little Dog Shoppe South Park PA I’ve seen some purebred papillons with an undercoat. As a single coat breed it is a fault for sure, but they still make lovable pets! My own rescue pap is a non-standard color: Liver. What do you use for the teeth?
My Little Dog Shoppe South Park PA My pap puppy (7 months tomorrow) hates baths and shakes under warm water and a warm blow dryer. She got hurt when our groomer did her nails (cut one to far back but nothing major) So pretty sure she won't like the vet anymore 😂
How cute, a little heart above the tail on this little one. I hope you share with us how different the seasons make in your grooming techniques!😉😄 Nice look!!
I agree with your opinions on the perception of face masks here in America. I think they have a stigma of if you are wearing one then you must be sick with something even though you wear it to try to protect yourself from getting sick. I always thought this perception was odd.
I've been grooming dogs for many years and never came down with anything, humans are the greatest culprits when it comes to passing on diseases. I suppose she wears masks outside of grooming too, how ridiculous.
Truth Seeker I just assumed she didn’t want fur up her nose and in her mouth. And not everyone that wears them are ridiculous. Some people that have depressed immune systems wear them. Usually I don’t but if I’m going to a hospital or the doctors office during peak flu times I will. Because I can catch anything in my weakened state. But you wouldn’t know that by looking at me.
I doubt that someone with a weakened immune system is going to groom dogs for a living but having said that, there's less risk of catching something from dogs than there is other humans. That aside, I find the fact that she's titled this video "How to groom a papillon." This video is not about grooming, it is all about clipping and she's basically instilling the wrong idea that this is what should be done to a papillon which is most certainly not the case!
That is NOT a Papillon! Not anymore it isn’t. If he came in as a Pap, you basically butchered ALL of the papillon identifying features....which is why paps do not need to have their fur cut! You’ve absolutely destroyed the “look” of a papillon. Sad.
I was told my pap was a chu and has been identified as a pap by anyone i looked at youtube videos and thought shes not a chu shes a pap...pap ears etc does look v similar to this dog but dont see the pap ears....or theyve been groomed/cut away
I have a Papillion mix and she has super long fur, poop getting stuck in it, everything she steps on is caked onto her paws. Her fur is simply too long for us to Handel so we get it cut for simplicity and I personally prefer how she looks with it cut, she somehow even looks happier but maybe I’m reading into it.
to be it’s about the comfort of the dog, not the “look”. i trim his ear hair and belly hair because it makes his more comfortable. eat hair so it’s not obnoxiously in his face and belly hair because he ends up peeing on it when it’s too long. someone people actually take their pets into consideration instead of the “look”
I want a papillon I know so much about them studied them my perents might take me to gwt a dog but idk what age or breed it is wish me luck it is a papillon🤞 However we might not go... If I do I will tell you what breed and age ☺
Shaving a dog will not help dogs to be less hot, it's a myth. The fur is there for a reason , I live in a hot place and I don't shave my papillon, once shaved the hair isn't the same, also greater risk of sunburn.
typically its just a sign they are nervous or scared along with yawning and open mouth panting. Not that are necessarily going to bite, though a nervous/fearful dog could definitely bite
Please stop turning your back on the dog and walking away from the table. It is very dangerous and one of these days a dog could try jumping off and seriously hurt itself.
I dont likr it because il looked like you were torching the poor thing im going to get a papilon soon and i will definitely not treat it like that torching it and being mean to it
This video is so sad. The poor dog shakes non stop and the groomer doesn't say one word to at least attempt to comfort him/her. She only spoke to tell the dog not to bite. Also, how's is a silent video supposed to teach anything?
I am very afraid of flu season, because I am immune compromised. I carry clorox wipes everywhere and try to go out when there aren't many people around.
I have a dog just like her. disappointed that I could not see how you trimmed the back of him but was impressed with what I was able to see
Seriously I don’t know what it is about your videos, but everytime it calms me and I end up with a big smile on my face. Beautiful pair of sweet doggos ❤️
Looks so much like my papillon ... (mine passed 2 days ago and I miss him so much!)
That up stand Is the greatest thing ever
This is absolutely NOT how to groom a Papillion 🤦♀️
I just got a puppy and I’ve been telling my mom that we need to start touching his feet now so he doesn’t freak when he needs his nails trimmed
You’re a great teacher.....even in little things!
Dede... could you please do a clipper maintenance video... do you sharpen your blades yourselves? If so could you include that too!!! Thanks so much
Aww so dainty, love this breed.
Aww poor thing was shaking like a leaf lol. He did so well though! They both seem like such sweet dogs =)
EmilyS Omg fr! My pap always shakes during baths even with the warmth from the dryer
EmilyS they all shake like this... dram queens and kings lol # pampillons 👑
Bri B yep
@@brib5077 haha, mine LOVES the blow-dry!!! it's the nails and paws that send her over the edge.
Aw what a cute dog! And great job as always Dede :D

Definitely has under coat that flies up in the air.

What number on the trimmer do you use?
PS love watching you videos from here in Australia! 😊

He didn’t start shaking until the noise started in the next room, maybe the blower to dry another dog.

He's so cute 🐶💙
What are you using on the ears to clean thaem
What size blade and comb are you using?
that dog is so good compared to my dog
I love how the pup has to wait for her to place the camara on a angle and he has to wait
Talk it's to quiet, I like it when you are talking as you go. You are great.
Does this papillon’s owner has an instagram account, I want to see more of him 🙏🏻
This video predicted Covid

Steve Taylor it depends on personal preferences, I have a papillon and I cut the hair on his ears because I don’t like it long

@@halokit9000 yes!! it’s has to feel more comfortable??? some people aren’t selfish like this person

However we might not go...
If I do I will tell you what breed and age ☺
Very cute dog, but it's not Papillon, I think chivauva mix...and a real Papillon's breed is not to be cut.
Thats not true. My pap hates to be hot and I give her a short cut like this in summer
Shaving a dog will not help dogs to be less hot, it's a myth. The fur is there for a reason , I live in a hot place and I don't shave my papillon, once shaved the hair isn't the same, also greater risk of sunburn.
What guard did she use?
I missed this one! Does anyone NOT shave their pappy?
Doesn’t chop-licking mean they’re ready to bite?
typically its just a sign they are nervous or scared along with yawning and open mouth panting. Not that are necessarily going to bite, though a nervous/fearful dog could definitely bite
CUTE DOG # PAPILLON
Such a cutie!
Dede could you put the camera on your head and just step back for wider shots? Just a thought x
I would love sone exlpanation, like how?!
Ha ha yup they look like twins..
Pretty sure it’s the same dog the whole video lol
But papillons have a single coat, they don't need trimming
they have undercoats and trimmings make the dog more comfortable
I want a Papillion perfect for me when my family moves when it is a puppy it will stay in my room until my dog meet her or him
Watching this in 2020 and the mask talk got me like 👁👄👁
Please stop turning your back on the dog and walking away from the table. It is very dangerous and one of these days a dog could try jumping off and seriously hurt itself.
A soft word to the dog would help her anxiety.
Plush the STAND Poor thing must have me scarrd of this life
you're too quiet! I learn alot from your blow by blow comments! We want to hear you!
me watching this in 2021: wearing mask 👁👄👁
I dont likr it because il looked like you were torching the poor thing im going to get a papilon soon and i will definitely not treat it like that torching it and being mean to it
Why does it look like a pomeranian? 🤔
He looks scared and the body is shaking ?
dongmei he Paps always do this even my purebred pap does
She isnt explaining what shes doing
It's funny hearing someone try to justify wearing a mask. 2020 CHEERS!!!!
cutie
Dede
I too carry my mask in my backpack when I go anywhere now lol I don’t care... sshhhooo
😷
Your comments about mask wearing were prescient!

I watched thia because we have a papillon pup and just wanted to see the grooming process.
Also poor baby is over weight
I am very afraid of flu season, because I am immune compromised. I carry clorox wipes everywhere and try to go out when there aren't many people around.
Wait till you see what's coming but I don't believe much being said either 🤔☺😆
You been wearing masks since before it was a thing ;)
Jak można tak oszpecić psa?!!!!! Katastrofa!!!!
What a butcher job.
