Great job Ryan! One of my favorites by Jimi (& Mitch). I've seen the big fill at the :36 minute mark, written and played so many different ways online. Looks like you're playing 2 six stroke rolls & then 2 LR's correct? I see the sticking as RllrrLR RllrrLR LR LR. If that's not it, please describe, and either way, it sounds great to me! ✌❤🥁
Vintage Ludwig drums are what I have played the most. I’ve owned vintage stuff from Rogers, Gretsch, Slingerland, Leedy, etc but I always gravitate towards Ludwig. That’s just the sound I like. Ludwig still makes great drums today.
Thank you! Coated Ambassadors on batters and coated diplomats on the bottom of toms. Bass drum is just smooth white Ambassadors with felt strips for muffling.
Amazing cover as per usual! The fill you play @ 1:30 has been really challenging for me to work out on my own. Is it 16th triplets? I'm hearing only 10 notes rather than 12. What are you playing there? It'd really help me out, cheers!
Brilliant, love it.
Your gear sound's really really good! Snare drum sound 10/10.
Thank you! Much appreciated.
The low music mix also greatly improves it for me. I've got the CD - what I want to hear is those ghost snares.
I'm just a hobbyist/lurker but I was 17 when this album came out and I've been waiting MY WHOLE LIVE to see someone do those first 7 seconds : -)
The BEST version !!!
Absolutely awesome!
Thank you!
Nailed it 😀
Thank you!

Thanks Dave! I appreciate it. Yes, you’re correct on the sticking of that fill. Thats just my interpretation though.
Question. Would you say Ludwig drums particularly vintage Ludwig's, have they been the best drums you've ever played or are there any drums you like

@@vintagedrummer79 thanks I want to buy a Ludwig set for myself but their pricy most likely for good reason
Great sounding drums! What heads are you running on everything? Just picked up a 67 downbeat
