"13 now" first video i ever watched, and the nastalgia is amazing. its what got me addicted, if thats a good thing. anyway i found this by searching survival games made befor 2010, found this game with crappy graphics, searched it in youtube, filtered away THE FUCKING STRANDED DEEP VIDEOS, found the new series he made, looked at his channel, "long process i know," looked into his uploads, went to oldest, scrolled down for 30ish seconds, and found this...
crazy I just saw a tiny clip of this game while watching a ohnepixel video and I remember this from when I was a kid! could have even watched this video... super hazy memory on it.
@THEFANOFLOTS The Story mode, which i'm playing, is not. But you can play Free Mode which generates a random world. You can even pick what kind of world it is, like Swamp. Forest, and Mountains :)
The animals in “Stranded II” have lairs or nests (depending on the species). As long as those are not destroyed they will respawn in certain intervals, yes. I think most of them reappear each 1-2 days. A few of them (sharks for instance) don’t respawn though if I remember correctly.
I hate how people always say games are ripoffs of minecraft. I programmed game in blitz3d that was very similar to minecraft, although I never heard of minecraft back when I made it. My goal was to make a more user-friendly version of a robinson's requiem or deus game, and used a block-like world since it's easier to make user constructed worlds that way and also easier to make a map editor for. But everytime I show it to anyone they sarcastically say, "how original." :(
Man! I've always dreamed of a game like that. I love Minecraft, but it takes a little away from the feeling when you don't need to sleep and it's 8-bit.
when i heard about stranded i was like WTF and started searching the game! while searching i saw so many things that i was like "what he did this....and this....AND THIS?!?!?" i will never be bored again!!!
hey pbat, make a net and catch butterflies, the more the better. they help increase the amount of weight you can carry. makes the game a hell lot easier =D
When I watched the first video. Wow, thats the game I was looking for, Survival in the jungle and realism AWESOME. I downloaded and played with you...watching and playing...and then you got to the 2 Island...and then Teleport stuff...and then Dino's wtf??? and then Grandpa Weed wtf?????? And then I thought...its not possible..the game was perfect even better than Minecraft and then it just simple screwed up.But then I found out that I can create random generated Island and wohooo! No trip stuff
In the story mode the islands are mostly the same, correct. However, in the “free play mode” (I don’t remember the actual name) the island is randomly generated. If you want to you can chose how big it should be, which climate should be there and how challenging you want the island to be.
nice u started videos on stranded II, not many on youtube. U forgott about some items that dropped on the ground they dont get deleted ^_^ , also there is some neat mods for this game , better textures, more realistic game with rotting system and some new stuffs and better textures and theres even visable hand and tool animations, they where working on a multiplayer mod too, but they quit their work :( overall is this game fun for a while.
best playthrough EVER i watched this over and over its ten time i watched part 1 till 13 and pbat srry but can you plzzzzzz continue you didnt finish the game and you just stopped :(

Yup, they are completely different, Minecraft is built mainly around building, however Stranded 2 was built solely around survival
