hi can you use a airgun scope like a leapers 4-16x50 scope on a .22 lr?

I bought riffle scope and i have setting it,the elevation has maximized pulled up but the pellet still below the target 3 cm.How to setting it right?

Talk about air rifles.And what scopes are specially for air rifles with hard recoil.Firearm scopes don`t belong to airgun academy.
