Let me clear here one thing, sheikh Abdullah didn't abolish zamindari system /jagairdari system here but it was removed from whole India by nehru in 1951-first five year plan and it was not strictly implemented in rest of India due to pressure from zamindars, but in j&k it was strictly implemented that's why it still is cause of rural inequality and poverty in India and in Kashmir almost everybody has some land and somewhat has imparted equality.
It was implemented in kashmir because majority of zamindars were kashmiri pandits at that time . It was a ploy by them to take land from Hindus and distribute it among Muslims.

I wish he could be alive today then he would have realised that the Indian leadership and state have ditched him very badly and his whole struggle and narrative got wrong and misguided which resulted in the killings of thousands of Killings in Jammu and Kashmir.
