I like you, Finn. Vikings are very good farmers and explorers. You have a fixed mind to reach your goals in life. You have knowledge from your country how to farm, build a strong house, and know how to preserve the environment for future generations. Sherlyn is so lucky to have you as a husband. May your future be blessed with lots of happiness, long life and success. Thank you so much for helping the children and poor people in the Philippines. You have a kind heart and gentle personality. Take care and God bless you and Sherlyn.💖🙏😇💖
@gracederamos5271 I hope your brother delivers good on the trust given. I hope he manages the project well and focus on the project plan and delivers the commitments on time. If he delivers and complete the project on time and on agreed budget , i'm sure more projects will come to him in the future.
@@noblewarrior1887 Well, he's been doing his job for quite a while now, and he had been alot of finished projects already, so I think he's been doing the job well. Thanks for your comment.
Yes , that is what we do for our workers, too, every Saturday. Good pace on the building, finn. Just a note, tho. No such thing as typhoon -proof house. Just a typhoon-resilient or climate-adaptive one. And as for the chill place, do not make it from light materials or they will be flying all over during typhoon, and break your glass windows. Make it sturdy with stone or hardwood furniture. Consider security when you need to be one month at sea. Water there will surely be mineral/ iron-rich and will stain metal faucets, sinks, bathroom furnishings. So u might want to install filters for replacement every month to minimize that. These are all based on actual experience from having a Hilltop home. 👍
Hi guys! Nice to see the construction is running smoothly and very fast too. You've built a typhoon-proof house over there, giving careful thought for every safety precaution, that's smart, really smart. Yes, fruits in the province are always sweet and fresh compared to the cities, so that's another advantage for you guys, living simple life in the province. Can't wait to see the finished product and thanks for the update, really appreciate it. Always stay safe and God bless you.
Hi Finn & beautiful Sherlyn , May God bless & protect you both . I’m praying for your beautiful home ( smile) so sweet when Sherlyn said emphasize on her “my kitchen “ she’s the cook! Bless her heart. From Chicago USA
Hello, my fellow Viking. It is with great interest I follow your new home being built. I know a little about the construction and design of villas in Sweden. There is a big difference. Thank you for sharing. 👍👍
I can say that how lucky you are Finn and Sherlyn mostly everything that u want was there in your properties.trees, fruits, different types of birds and overlooking Apo Island in your lovely home.mapapa SANA ALL kn lng😊👍🤙🙌🏻
Hi Finn and Sherlyn, love the videos. My wife Tess and I are really enjoying watching your house build. We currently live in Cagayan de Oro but will soon start construction of our house in Alae in the Bukidnon. Can't wait to see your finished house. It will be so much different than ours as we are building a modern house in the traditional style using traditional materials (Wood, Bamboo, Amakan and concrete).
Very smart. I follow several US Expats who have built houses, right up on the shore and with no concessions to the Typhoons. Most have them lost their homes over the years.
happy easter days so nice to see you Finn, Sherlyn & Jake and of course your hardship doing for your blessed future hause seems to be a paradise in that place. Good example to the community people , God bless🙏♥️🙏♥️🇵🇭🐕🥰
Good Morning Sherlyn and Finn. Lovely, you feed your workers. I did the same when I had a loft conversation. Good to keep your workers happy. Good vibes. Excited for you both. It is really coming on nicely. Jake is so cute. Eating the watermelon. Lipstick. 🥰My fur baby loves tomatoes. Perfect place for the infinity pool. The drone shots really show you how big your home really is. Thank you for sharing your journey building your home. It is great to see the progress already. Have a wonderful week.
Wow HEAVY columns very sturdy progress is moving along very nice,Jake loves his watermelon the white part of the rhine is very good for you full of arginine great video Finn
Once in about 10 years a powerful typhoon crosses these parts from the north, powerful enough to rip sturdy roofs off. To be typhoon proof u have to have no roof overhangs or especially covered patios that the strong wind can go under and lift your roof upwards. When i saw your house plan in an earlier vlog, i saw a lot of overhangs, aak your engineer again especially you are situated in the mountains where the wind will be much much stronger compared to lowlying areas.
We are also building a house here in the US. They are all stick houses these days. Concrete slab and 2x4's, pressed wood, and drywall with insulation + siding and some bricks in the front. I like how your house is getting put together. Having an Island sink with a dish washer water supply and drain is a great idea. Cooking and preparing space opens up when the sink is in another location. I am learning a lot. Thank you...
Dude so awesome your channel has really grown,no looking back now like a true Viking you come to conquer! I’ve been following you guys forever, totally enjoy your perspective on life in the Philippines 🇵🇭 I met my wife in 2011 ,she’s from the CDO area watching your videos brings back so many memories, can’t wait to come visit again…just an idea ,I’m a building contractor in Canada 🇨🇦 I would highly recommend steel roll down shutters for your windows, smart idea to build up high on flat land , But you get a cat3 or higher typhoon you’ll want those windows covered,it’s also a good security feature for when you’re away. Can’t wait for the marriage and Baby videos, there you go you’ll have the complete package for your future. Stay safe,God Bless!
A Blessed day for you Finn & Sherlyn, hello Jake you love watermelon like me especiallynin these hot sunny days. Excited us for your dream HomeSweetHome sir Finn&Sherlyn. More good blessings & protection come on your way. "Swimming pool on top of the HILL is spectacular"🙏✌❤😘🐕😊
Make sure if you have funds to build a steel roof heavy gadge reinforced steel struts. Nice build 👌 so far . Ps air-conditioning in house is a plus . Just be mindful electric bill hihih my last bill was 10k for a month. I'm looking at solar now .
Even in the mountain needs ac if there's no wind. Night time would be probably cooler but during day time & you have concrete house it will be hotter as you are so much expose to the sun. But if you have grown up trees in the future that wud be probably different.

Please watch 8 miles from home, a family british family living is Siargao who installed solar panels. They installed the battery unit inside to protect from salty sea air and harsh heat environment.
Big rains starts at the last week of May when the Habagat Monsoon starts, the rain clouds comes from the Southwest, moving to the NorthEast. Once the rains starts, after just a few days, the grass becomes green again. But the habagat brings with it some humidity.
congratulations Finn and Sherlyn even though construction is still starting…👏👏👏…. but just wanna ask if that Starlink that you have now is for internet connection ( from E. Musk)? If it is, can you send me a link on how you purchased it?
On your swimming pool,it is better to be built in solid concrete not by hollow blocks because I believe it should be solidly waterproof aside from enforcing with waterproofing material

Finnu, cover the outside of them windows with 1 inch plywood on hinges into the concrete, when typhoon comes close them will save windows.
Congratulations to your house guy's ❤ you must be very excited .when the house i s finished building up.watching from Queensland Australia.
The best is the concrete roof! The rest are easy to blow away!
That looked like a Bald Eagle 🦅. Of course that’s the National Bird of the United States. Always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸
Awesome. Hopefully you finish constructing your house before typhoon season starts.
I see a lot of rebars every foot or so and lots of concrete structures. Looks very strong. What about roofing? Why not concrete roof instead?
Concrete roof yes

Fin why didn't use reinforce concrete wall for swimming pool only to serve as watertight to prevent water leak?

If i can i would love to plant mangos from guimaras, indian mango, papaya , guava , arateles, etc while the house is being built
I have my Aratilis in my house I did'nt plant it grows only it was good make the place cooler

How practical and easy is it to buy and install solar panels and roof insulation for example. And cost
Awesome❤
