    This update is a global fail. Thank you for your reinforcement of this. It's failed on all of the computers I support (750+)

    Thank you for your reassurance regarding this update. I tried following the google error page but it made no sense to me as I am old and not tech savvy it made me worry. Many thanks.

    Maybe they are trying to sour the taste of Windows 10.

      that what im thinking. The cert on windows 11 is root and they can pretend to be a CA and then change it back like nothing happened and they get way more telemetry from it. Big corp gets sketchier by the day.

    Thank you sir, you just easily earned another like, sub and bell -- I ran and tried everything I could think of and while YES my rig is about 5 ish years old, I have never had an issue like this. So THANK you for clarifying, I will set it aside and ignore it for now until Microsoft responds, because as you said they HAVE too, this IS unacceptable.

    So, as it turns out, I ended up downloading the Windows Update Show/Hide tool, and I used it to hide KB5034441, so that the error for it no longer shows up in Windows Update.

    • @aris1956
      @aris1956 9 месяцев назад

      I also did the same thing with that tool, but Windows always shows me that update (KB5034441) along with the others. How come ?

      It's pretty cool, if you have a laptop you definetly should! You can do your bitlocker keys local you don't have to do a microsoft account and save them there.

    Microsoft needs to get their shit together. Who thought that 2024 would be a year without problems and MS goes and does this 😂

    Thank you so much for this! I'm so tired of this error and my Bitlocker has always been off! I never use it! I do nothing in my laptop that is important enough for MS to shove this unnecessary update down my throat. It's still here, March 7 2024, and they still have no solution to it. I will not mess with my partitions. I don't need this update.

    I do have a error but I don't like to mess with recovery partition, I just ignore it. I hope MS remove it from update

    I'm having the same annoying problem with this KB5034441 update. It just fails to install. I can't believe Microsoft just went ahead and pushed this out to all Windows 10 users. Shame on you Microsoft for doing this ! On top of this, they claim it could have something to do with the recovery partition not having enough free space (250MB), well that's just bullsh.t, because my recovery partition has almost 1GB of free space. Thank you for this video and your explanation sir, you've earned yourself a new sub with me.

    I fixed my recovery partition(i didn't even had one lol) but i needed to do a lot of things with cmd commands and making a new recovery image from a windows installation and now the update installed... Yes i know how to do it but i don't see someone that have no knowledge about computers doing it. It really is stupid what microsoft wants. At least for most people will just be changing the partition's size.

    Ive been sub'd to this channel for years now. I dont think ive ever seen you this irritated before. That being said, Microsoft has been screwing things up and I myself am getting sick of it as well. From forcing things on us, freezing the role-out of a new version of windows and list goes on. Why has Microsoft as a company turned into this chiat show of late?

    Thank U again for Your Video Update and Your Honesty. I will not be doing that Hiding Tool for the Update because I am afraid not only for myself but others that oh this Update Didn't Work or that Update Didn't Work so It's OK To Hide the Update. Take the Time to Run Windows Update Troubleshooter and SFC Scans to make sure your files are fine first. I did yesterday after the 2nd Restart, and I tried it again. It found nothing. Take the Time to Understand what the Update means and what it does. Many People I know when i say Bit Locker what is that. I only know of my Locker in School and at Work. LOL!! Honestly, The Update is Barely 24 Hours Old. PATIENCE!! Thanks Again. Keep Us Updated.

  • @SoulPoetryandOtherWorks

    I fixed the issue on my machine using Macrorit Disk Partition Expert in its GUI. No arcane commands or fiddling with deleting and recreating partitions. If you use Windows_Repair_Toolbox it is included in that software.
    Once altered the update worked correctly.

      But how many casual desktop users are going to go to this effort to do this, or even have the knowledge to do so in the first place? This is a total fail on Microsoft themselves, especially since the recovery partition is created by the Windows installation process at a pre-determined size by default.

    • @itstheweirdguy
      @itstheweirdguy 9 месяцев назад

      You absolutely can make it bigger if it's at the end of the drive already, the microsoft steps work fine. I've even moved it to the end of the drive while making it bigger for one system that had it at the beginning of the drive. I didn't need ANY third party utilities to do any of it@@gott2641

      It failed for me on two different desktop computers. I think one difference is whether you have a home built computer or one you bought from a vendor. Mine are home built and they don't have a recovery partition since I don't need one. I use Acronis True Image to save an image of the entire boot drive, and I'll use that image instead of a recovery partition.

      It's the WinRE partition that has to be larger than 500mb. Not knowing what your partitions are set at, I don't know if you have a larger than 500mb WinRE part. I run Windows 11 and it has set a larger WinRE partition (over 1gb) and it has no issues either. My computer is 3 years old. We have about 300+ Windows 10 computers in our company and they are all having an issue because they only have 500mb WinRE part that was created when Windows 10 was installed. The partition needs at least 730mb for it to run that particular KB.
      😉
      I also used a partition tool on one of them and it worked easier than the steps that MS suggests to run in cmdline
