selena/nick/demi .. i want not to want him

Plot:
Demi's had a crush on Nick for some months and Selena knew it. Nick on the other hand was never interested in Demi. One day he starts a conversation with Selena (masquerade ball scene) . selena realizes that the two of them have a lot in common and is intersted in him.. they start hanging out a lot but she keeps it from demi, because she knows that it would hurt her. and .. they're best friends and its supposed to be "hoes over bros" right?
on july 3rd selena and nick hang out, and he was supposed to go out with demi but cancelled her to be with selena. (btw, nothing has happened between them yet!)
selena is in a huge dilemma, because its friendship or love.
besides demi doesnt know what she wants. she runs after nick although she knows that hes not into her. on july 4th he kissed her, but only to make it good for july 3rd (=not hanging out with her)
