Jungkook exhaled, looking down at his shoes. "It's just... I told Ella how I felt about her today. And, well, turns out she’s already engaged."
Marlin’s heart sank a little, but she didn’t let it show. She had suspected as much, but hearing him say it out loud made her feel both closer to him and further away. Still, she pushed her own feelings aside and focused on him.
"That must’ve been tough," she said, her voice soft with empathy.
"Yeah," Jungkook replied with a sad smile. "But it’s okay. I just want her to be happy, you know? Even if it’s not with me."

Grinning, he leaned in and gently wiped the frosting off with his thumb, his touch lingering just a moment longer than it should have. Their eyes met, and for the first time, something shifted between them.
Later, as they strolled through the park, Jungkook stopped suddenly. “Marlin, there’s something I need to say.” He hesitated, then smiled softly. “I think I’m falling for you.”
Marlin’s heart raced. She’d waited so long for this moment. “I’ve liked you for a while, Jungkook,” she whispered, her cheeks warm.

Jungkook was heartbroken when he got to know y/n was engaged to someone else. He forced a little smile and left without saying much. Y/n saw him going away and with his every step her heart was shaking, tears almost threatening to come out of her eyes so she hurriedly ran to washroom. (the biggest secret is on the way when jungkook gets to know y/n's fiancé ..hehehe)
