    To whom it may concern, I take full responsibility for the liberal use of profanity in this video. After a 16 hour drive that included me vomiting at Mikey D's and several thwarted attempts to navigate higher elevations with record snowfall in conjunction with nonstop conspiracy theorizing and nihilistic whining about resistance being futile and the prospects for integrating assimilation.... I think the abandoned brothel really finally snapped something in Frank though I liken this to a kidney stone. It's passed.

    Looks like it was an entertaining trip even if a lot of the tunnels were just small prospects! That stope off of the main haulage tunnel was enormous, especially with that huge winze or ore passage plunging down from it. It was cool to include the brothel tour - it would be great to hear some of the stories from its heyday...

    • @AbandonedMines11
      @AbandonedMines11  7 лет назад

      TVR Exploring Stories from the brothel's heyday can be found in the Penthouse Forum magazines. Remember those magazines where people supposedly were sending in letters detailing all of their sexual escapades? Do they still even print Forum these days? Probably not since the advent of the Internet.

    2:07 You made me think of that scene in *Blazing Saddles* when they’re eating beans... funny thing, the TV version of the film has a lot of cursing taken out, another thing the censors removed was the fart sounds from that scene, so it’s a bunch of guys sitting around, eating beans and randomly standing up now and then !!

    • @AbandonedMines11
      @AbandonedMines11  5 лет назад

      I love Blazing Saddles! That’s one of my all-time favorite movies. I once saw the movie on TV as well, and in the farting scene that you mentioned, the censors removed the fart sounds and inserted the sounds of cows mooing. WTF? Totally ruined it. One thing is for sure - they could never make a movie like that today. That’s why it’s such a classic! “Mongo only pawn in game of life.” LOL

    I've been following you since you did the Goldfield, Beatty mines. I just put a video out on the mines in Goldfield. In a few days im putting out a video on my mine just south of Goldfield. I would love to show you a mine that thd government made into a nuclear fall out shelter. Those beds had to be disgusting. Great video thank you

    A decade ago that brothel was actually in semi-good condition. Then social media came around and punks make it a destination just to destroy it. That entire valley was nice but now picture location tags are bringing more people, more people equals more destruction :(

    • @AbandonedMines11
      @AbandonedMines11  7 лет назад +2

      +QuadropheniacTed Many decades ago, that brothel was an excellent place to go - you could get laid for a price! LOL Seems that many brothels across Nevada have been closing in recent years. A downside of the Internet, perhaps?

    • @bentstrider

    Great videos! I know the rough location of an abandoned mine, possibly a gold mine based on its location! How can I contact you to give you the details! it's within the Oroville Watershed Complex in The Sierra mountain in Northern California!

      +Alvin Dickens Sounds interesting! However, I don't explore Northern California mines. If you'd like, you might want to send that information to Justin who runs the TVR Exploring channel. He focuses mostly on the Northern California mines. You'll find a link to his channel on my channel's homepage on the right-hand side where it says "Visit These Awesome Channels!

    I hope you guys had back up lights just while in those caves in case your main light malfunctioned. You'd never find your way out of there.
    Thanks for doing these videos as I'd don't have enough hair on my ass to do these sorts of things anymore. I am 64 and I've skydived over hundred jumps, been on a safari in Kenya and had to get of the vehicle in lion country to push it out of the mud, had a motor cycle over a hundred miles an hour but I'd just don't have the balls to go caving.

      @AbandonedMines11  7 лет назад

      +im1who84u Hey, thanks for your comment! Yes, I always have extra back up lights. And extra batteries. One thing I do need to invest in, though, is a collapsible, military-style shovel - you know, just in case there really is a cave-in.

    When do you think this mine was eventually abandoned? The weathered wood you show at the beginning makes me wonder if it was maybe sometime from 1920-1940 or so? No clue--here in Alaska, unless it's make of concrete it rots away so fast. I imagine the dry desert climate preserves a lot of that stuff amazingly well. Thanks for posting these videos--they're awesome!

    • @AbandonedMines11
      @AbandonedMines11  7 лет назад

      +AlaskaMike72 The main mine was operated up until the mid-1950s.

      Anthony B I do my best. LOL Actually, this video gets its fair share of comments because of its subject matter, I guess. Sometimes the notification feature here on RUclips doesn’t always notify me of every comment for some reason. When I go back and look at an older video of mine, I sometimes discover comments that were left six months or a year ago or longer of which I was never notified. Oh well.
