What about a Tera exclusive form like gmax version for Tera forms

When we see the 19th Tera Type selected, the borders of the type icons for all moves are highlighted. With standard Terastalization, only the type icons of moves that match the Tera Type have this effect.
So this new Tera Type appears to have some effect on moves of all types.
@@caffeineaddict779 Then what does tera blast become?
@@caffeineaddict779That or it could be like Legend Plate Arceus where it depends on the target's type, that will be too powerful though, maybe use 50 of EACH tera shards or a new type of shards that are more rare or MAYBE it only is for certain pokemon like the Indigo Disk's legendary...
@@caffeineaddict779Ignore the beginning of the first comment, I just seen it was "effective" against a Dragonite..
Edit: Also the part where I said it might only be for certain pokemon, ignore that, because it might be true, but chance it might not be...
I’d honestly imagine the new Tera type + Tera blast would work like dynamax cannon, only with terastalisation instead of dynamax.
oh hey you were right
I have a feeling this is gonna function similar to Arceus in Pokemon Conquest, who has an ability called “omnipotent” that makes its attack always hit for neutral damage, as well as only ever take neutral damage when hit.
I was seriously expecting that. I'd have called it SMT's Almighty type.
Been thinking a while about this so let me know what you think of my little theory! What do you think the 19th type will be?
Good video
If it's neutral on Dragonite, then i agree it will be neutral on all mons (i.e. ignore resist, but never supereffective). And double damage on terastalyzed mons seems logical too. Overall i think you are 100% correct on this. Not only it would be fair, not broken mechanic but it will also lead to new gameplay strategies.
However not sure about the defensive side. If you only resist terastalized types you would hardly ever want to use it defensively. Triggering it first only is worth if your moves are all resisted by the opponent you want to KO (or if the opponent is immune otherwise). However you would need Tera Blast in the move slot. If you can choose any pokemon to turn into this Neutral Type regardless of their initial Tera type, you may consider having Tera Blast on all of your pokemon and i think that will kinda hurt our options for the gameplay.
Unless of course you have a "pokemon that you bring IN CASE enemy has a troublesome type/tera type" with the Tera Blast and other mons you run normally with other 4 moves... then i guess it will work.
Still it would be nice to have a Tera type that you universally use to respond to enemy Tera type. I really like your idea, and like i have said this is most likely 100% correct.
However it brings new question to the table: What type is Terapagos? Is it Neutral type himself (no STAB but also no weaknesses or resistanes?) It would be weird considering this Tera types are the gimmick of gen 9 and we'd have to consider future games being compatible with transfering over the Terapagos. This is to assume Terapagos must have a type on it's own. Question is what type?
Your mother
Maybe Ground Fairy for Terapagos? Since it’s a type combination that hasn’t been used before.
You didn’t come up with this theory. It was either Tyranitartube or birdkeeper Toby who first suggested this is how the 19th Tera type would work. Why don’t you credit your sources?
My name feedback is calling it Omni or Radiant Type.
But knowing GF they will call it something long that the community will shorten for them to then use. 🗿
This seems like a good, reasonable possible way to balance it in battles, and honestly hope it works this way. But we’ll see how GF really decide to balance it.
We know that this can't be true as every Move in the Baxcalibur Menu is influenced by the Tera STAB. We see this because the Moves are all glowing which usually only happens if Tera Type and Move Type align. So you probably just get Tera STAB on everything, have no Weakness or Resistances and Tera Blast always does neutral damage, maybe it is always super effective against all Terastallized Pokémon.
This ☝️
I never noticed this.
I think the 19 Tera type is like legend plate use by arceus when it uses judgement in Pokémon legend’s arceus becoming a super effective move depending on the opponent Pokémon type
Surely it would have said super effective against Dragonite then? 🤔
Maybe it was neutral do to it taking in both opponents Type and Tera Type all together cause for all we know if dragonite doesn't have a Dragon Tera type but a different type
Yeah, I think that's probably it, it probably always says neutral or uses Terra Blast's typical normal typing as the base, then changes type on the use of the move, so that if you, say, use it on an ice type, it won't turn fighting and then the opponent terras ghost.
Well it will be revealed once the indigo disk dlc comes out but for right now I’m gonna enjoy when it comes out this year cause once it does I’m making my shiny eevee have the new Tera type
@@Hmazperhaps its stab with all moves
honestly I think you are super underestimating how common and good defensive teras are. They aren't as flashy as offensive teras but almost all teams have them and they are a major consideration whenever players have to attack. Usually in a team there will be more defensive than offensive teras (usually like 1-2 offensive for your hitters then 4 defensive for frailer attackers/supports)
True although I think as the power creep increases we’ll see offensive terastalization become more and more prominent
Sound doesn’t make any sense as a type. It never did
There just has to be new sound based moves and Pokemon.
I just noticed something. Notice how every move is being highlighted when you hit the terastalyze. This makes me think this thing will add stab to every move.
It’s probably going to be like this. How is it gonna work defensively tho?
@ekul2k3 probably just neutral to everything
No weaknesses, but also no resistances
@@OriginalGameteer but then wouldn’t it be useful just for offensive pokemon? I feel like it would be useless on literally every bulky/defensive mon
I think the “19th type” is like a randomiser so I think if you get a Pokémon with that crown it’ll “spin the wheel” and whatever it lands on is what you get, it’ll probably have a different randomised type each time you’re in a new battle
Probably the best counter for the everything type is some pebbles😀
I think this possibility is further amplified by the fact that the Pokémon granting this power is a turtle, a species that represents defense.
these DLC's have had so much time put into them I am hoping they are magical.
We’re going to a brand new region for the first time in a DLC so I’m pretty hyped
Imagine if the base game had the content of the dlc as postgame content like older games would do
Well it seems they are putting more effort into the DLC then with Sword and Shield.
I think the new typing makes you deal and receive neutral damage for every type but also give you stab for every type and double stab for whatever type your pokemon is
I think it’s based on what type your moves are. It doesn’t matter if your moves are all different types, it boosts all of them.
It could be a type that’s exclusive to Terapagos itself (outside of Terastalisation), and is passed onto the Tera Blasts of Pokémon who have the appropriate requirements. As for type effectiveness it seems to be following a type that is neutral to Dragonite, ruling out Fire, Water, Grass, Fighting, Bug, Ground, Rock, Ice and Fairy, assuming it could be one of the 18 at all. It might be a form of Hidden Power but I’m not sure if that idea has any real meaning or possibility
Could be that you choose what type it is but at the same time isn’t that what normal terastalization is for?
@@Hmazprobably, we know it doesn’t seem like it will be attached to any types in particular, unless there’s some mechanical thing that has either been kept from us or has otherwise been yet to be revealed. It just feels like it’d just be the Normal type but minus the fighting weakness and ghost immunity at that point. An idea I’ve seen tossed around is that Terapagos has it’s own unique type, which is what this 19th Tera Type seems to be.
@@magicalhikari5859 "Normal type but minus the fighting weakness and ghost immunity" so, typeless?
I know I'm a bit late, but I had the thought of it it was typeless? since there's a few pokemon that can become typeless after using certain moves. or maybe, since it has so many different colors, it could be like pre-nerf Protean?
those are just my two cents, tho
Your thoughts on this make a lot of sense but when does Nintendo ever do what we want?
True
3:53
Bruh, why do you gotta personally attack us like that LMAO
I think the 19th terra type is simply a form change that gives you the ability to temporarily in this form change your terra type to whatever your attack type is when attacking giving your attack the bonus you get for using a attack that's the same as your terra type while terrastilized and after that turn on the opponents turn you keep that type until your next attack so basically if you have four different type moves potentially you'll have 4-5 terra types available to you in battle for each pokemon who has this terra type or if they limit it to just one pokemon and for competition it's gonna keep ppl on their toes allowing crazy strategy building and counters for this boost and downfall to battle just think about it
objection- trapinch's evolution line makes sense because it's the larval form of an antlion, a species of insect that looks very similar to dragonflies
trapinch is one of my favorite pokemon and I will always defend it's design
Maybe its just a Libero like type changing tera blast into an always neutral against the enemy pokemon, they nerved libero for a reason 🤔
Would always neutral be worth it over just terastalizing normally? 🤔
I'd wager New Type is what causes Tera forms, either limiting its distribution or making it special for certain mons. Would we have "free use" of it in Indigo Disc, yes. However Ogrepon having a Terastal Form that seemingly lacks a crown hints it might have New Type baseline. Otherwise this sound very good as far as balance and fun.
It's fascinating to me that ever since PLA, they've been delving into Pkmn types & its mechanics: Unown's exclusive Hidden Power has the new effect of always doing SE damage on the target, Legends Plate + Judgement, Terrastilization, Protean/Libero nerf, & now the 19th Tera type that'll 100% involve Terapagos in some way.
“Hello I a, from the future” -specifically the only really *past* focused important character
That make more sense than any of the other wild speculation I've seen about the new tera type.
"pictures of snorlax" in the opera gx ad about killed me
My thoughts:
It's another add-on that we've seen with Dynamax and then Gigantamax.
19th tera type is probably going to work in a similar way where you need to collect something in order to access it, while Terapagos is the only one naturally able to access it/or has it as their main type. Probably links in with Area Zero and the crystals down there, which is made from the same crystals as Terapagos.
I do think it will work for STAB and Defence. Where it boosts it up massively but it is timed (e.g. 4 turns only). It might also be broken where no type can resist a 19th tera type move. For some Pokemon it probably changes their form perhaps, like Terapagos changing into that bigger form.
Love this idea mate :D
5:47 except the drawing has hexagons and Terápagos has pentagons
Maybe a a type that is super effective against all types and also takes super effective damage from all types as well. Basically ghost and dragon but for every single type.Though that would mean dual type Pokémon take x4 damage from it which might be too broken
Hmaz: ignores the rainbow swirls around every type
This is honestly a very cool and well thought out theory.
Hmaz: makes an opener involving coming from the future
Also Hmaz: uses Sada, who represents the past.
because she travels back to the past so she is from the future :P
To balance out its being effective against every type, it could be ineffective against and weak to Normal type pokemon and moves.
With how many Pokémon are undeservingly normal type and how it has only had weaknesses, it only makes sense to give it a strength for once.
The Hmaz type that makes your Pokémon into a Mii
cant wait for this to be used with oricorio's revelation dance
when you check the baxcaliber image all of its attacks have the tera overlay meaning its got the tera stab and those moves where ice and dragon meaning it will also add stab to your pokemons original typing ice/dragon
I think this weird thing is, I kind of like a form thing like if you do something for a site in Pokémon actually change your appearance which is appropriate for a terror type like a gigantic max in sword and shield
I believe that at one point I heard it was called Crown Form or Crown Tera because of the obvious crown.
I personally would call it Gem Tera because of most gems undergoing similar processes to become what they are
1:51 oh hey, that’s me lol
I'll say it, i thought like the bigger mask terastalisation for the teal mask guy, the indigo disc one however you say or spell its name was a special terastalisation and not a form, but we can only wait the 7 months, after the release of the 1st part..
4:47 NAHH HE JUST CALLED ME OUT HAHAHAHA
"all of them combined"
"*what*"
I’m think there going to add Terastallization Forms like they did for mega evolution and Gigantamax
this is great hmaz!
the pokemon company: You know to much
you: hears knock on door
And he was never seen again
dlc gonna be fun as hell
Thats a really good theory
Damn that smart
We know arkoos is going to have to get a new plate for this type because he got the pixie plate when fairy was made.
Hmaz I guess you broke the code and got answers 😂! Best theory so far
btw Oricorio’s signature move revaluation dance can be this new type if it’s terastilised. Although Tera Blast is just a better move so this info is useless
0:12 blud thats the wrong professor for that 💀
Okay. So there's a lot of potential for what the 'rainbow' Tera Type could do in the video games.
But, personally, I'm curious how it would translate... into the Trading Card Game.
We've had dual-types, we've had alternate types, and we've had rainbow energy cards... but not once has there been a Pokemon using such a type. The closest we've had is Colorless types, and the Rainbow Energy (and offshoots of it, such as Aurora Energy).
So how would a Pokemon card with such a type work?
It is making me quite excited for future TCG stuff. Plus Terapagos is just adorable so I'd want a card of it either way.
i thought of it as maybe a type thats effective vs everything but super effective against the type itself if someone else has 19th tera
i think it just selects 4x dmg types if there is any for the target to make it as strong as possible when terra and regular dmg to them otherwise
I commented this before on a few of your other videos but i believe it's light type.
So. It's the struggle type? I like it
My speculation. It tera boosts all the moves as the borders of each move slot are hightlighted and probably changes type of the move you used, including status moves.
I know that when Tera Blast was highlighted it said neutral damage, but I have a feeling that when you use tera blast, the turn will turn the move as well as yourself into a supereffective move against the opponent.
My speculation, so take it with a grain of salt.
What if it's typing on the Tera grown works like Tera blast like how it switches between atk and so attack depending g on what does more damage it changed the type of Tera blast and it's typing to be super effective against the enemy.
This is actually impressive.
I feel this Tera type would be able to switch through tera types after terastilized, if you look at the crown in the trailer it has every tera icon on it, so you might be able to switch throught tera 1 turn after terastilising
i feel like the crown will be the hat of this nineteenth type, therefore terastal terapagos achieves the form showed in the book when terastalized into the nineteenth type
7:45 but that's a dragonfly larva becoming a dragonfly adult
imo i think the tera type gives STAB boost to all type attacks, but when used in Tera blast, the damage would be Neutral against all types, it also receives neutral damage against all types
Personally I think it will make moves used against you neutrally effective and Tera blast is stab boosted and neutral to all pokemon. The terastal interactions can be saved for terapagos specifically though personally I want it to be really slow with trick room as an ability on switch in.
The Tera type is gonna be protean with extra steps
I'm pretty sure that it just turns into the users Tera type when it terastalizes
Me who found this vid on opera GX: FAX AND I HAVE THAT GENGAR MOD
I reckon the Tera type will be stronger against every type but weak to every type
What if this is like how old Protean worked and tera blast at the start would be a good neutral move cause the effect around types that are boosted my tera type is on both the moves in the video.
the 19th type being all of the above could still yield the same results you mentioned in your own theory.
Defensively speaking, you wont be weak to anything other than Rock, which a smart way to buff rock types from being so bad (specially now that Ice Types have been buffed)
Offensively speaking though, you can deal Pure neutral damage except to Tera'd Pokemon, which your theory can apply.
so yea, both theories can be perfectly valid.
I guarantee the 19th plate is going to be basically the Legend Plate from PLA. Or maybe that will be terapagos.
Maybe the new tera type is the friends we made along the way
no you saw the colours... its the gay type
I think it will just be that you get to choose the tera type
That's actually probably quite accurate
We really need some new pokemon types
Me watching this video with Opera GX: these sponsors are nothing to me
it reminds me of struggle's "type" made canon, struggle is neutral to all types and even "typeless"
Raging bolt looks like the tallneck from horizon zero dawn
EXACTLY
It’s a tallneck with the elemental ability of Vah Naboris from Breath of the Wild
@@samboi123 yes
I have an idea, a space type, no elaboration needed
Honestly, for me it would make sense if the new Tera type was light, because rainbows are light and yknow and umm…
rainbow type could be cool yeah!
Maybe the 19th type is the equivalent of non-elemental. Neutral type damage offensive and defensive. So it focuses more on having some secondary buffs or immunities.
It’s so close to part one I wish changing the date on my switch wouldn’t work but that’s not what happens I wish we could go into the future to do it I can’t wait any longer until the 13th when part one exists because part 0 is… clothes that the heck pokemon why not just wait to add clothes until you can add atleast the first part of the dlc
I think that it gives boosts to all the Pokémon’s move
4:53 bro guessed my age
4:51 I said out loud “I’m 13 and watching this video”
Maybe is a casual type, but with something else
I really like the idea of a Teratype to counter Terapokemon.
I wish it will be a Time type, because, paradox Pokémon, you know
I haven't started the video but I have a prediction what the new type will be. Light type. When light touches a prism, it makes a rainbow. And the color around the type on the post was rainbow. Also, it's a Tera type pokemon .
*Tera types glow.
2:00 look mum I’m on Opera GX
Life goal reached
It's only effect is it's super effective to Type Null to finally nerf null type.
Holy shit- pokemon colosseum? damn-
Prediction: it gives stab to every type, keeps your type the same, makes Tera Blast Typeless
I think it's a gem or crystal type, exclusive to the special form, for now.
