- Part 2 of 4. SO Sorry originally posted the wrong part 2!!! I put in part 2 of remembering the garage atttic again, instead of Rick. This scene Rick and Lesely see each other for the first time after a LONG time. Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention (you know who you are)!!!!This fits in right after Remembering the Garage Attic clips. Laura has asked Rick Webber to come and give her way for her second wedding to Luke. I had always loved Laura's relationship with him. I am not sure about all of this. It is quite tragic. The actors that played Lesley and Rick LOATHED each other in real-life.
They worked together later on AW, I doubt they Loathed each other.
@@mikemontgomery7857 Really? You need to do your research. DA said she would have quit had she not been locked into a contract. CR was hired AFTER she was. Leslie Charleson hated CR, too.

I remember Charleson saying she once found Alexander in tears after an altercation with Robinson. It got so bad for Charleson that she asked to have their characters remain separate storywise, but Monty wouldn't budge.”
Would it have killed Guza to have Rick tell Lesley that he wished things had turned out differently...that he thought about her all these years and that he never loved another woman like he loved her. That would've gone a long way to appease the LICK fans while not taking away from the Sonny, Jason, and Carly Hour.
Rick and Lesley 18 years later, deserved better.
Can't believe Chris Robinson agreed to come back for the outright assassination of of Rick's good name.
I gave this video a thumbs up but I don’t like how GH has turned into…that’s why I stopped watching it in the early 90’s. The 80’s had GH had its best and it hasn’t recaptured its greatness since..

I stopped watching GH when they killed Lesley in ‘84. Watching this clip now is very disappointing. The show was so awesome between ‘77 and ‘84 and it’s awful that they have killed the back story and ruined the great characters. Let’s pretend this never happened.
Yes , I LOVED Rick and Lesley ! I recently looked up the Nielsen ratings history and GH was # 1 from '79 to '88 , I believe. They divided the seasons up as 79-80 , 80-81 , per example . I think Mr. Valentini { current producer } has tried to fix some of these problems . When we emotionally invest in a character like Burt Ramsey , for example , and he turns out to be in the mob , it's disheartening and unrealistic .
Chile, GH was so musty, dusty and crusty for killing Rick Webber off, like damn 😒
I hate that there's no mention of what happened to Ginny Blake and Mike.
Because he was being written by a bunch of people who did not care anything about the character or the characters history!! It was HORRIBLE!!!
Sad that Laura referred to him as Rick Webber and not my Dad.

Having a reverence for the history of the characters is so important . It's not that hard to do the research . As fans we certainly know our storylines .
Tender reunion moment. CR and DA can act! In my mind, and in my own script, Rick and Lesley get back together and none of the other stuff that is about to take place (don't want to spoil for newbies) ever happens. They go on to being docs again at GH and help Luke and Laura save Port Charles one more time. Works for me!

Okay this is it. The writing has begun to change Laura's past once again and this time it's uglier than all hell. MY ENTIRE LUKE AND LAURA OFFICIAL STORYLINE HAS THEM RETURNING IN 93, KILLING FRANK SMITH, AND ONCE LAURA IS RELEASED FROM JAIL IN THE DAMIEN SMITH TRIAL .......LUKE LAURA LUCKY AND LULU TAKE OFF FOR CANADA AND OPEN THE 4L DINER. AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER. ..............there was no stefan or nikolas, and leslie and roy were dead for years.
Lesley said she would get them some iced tea at the end, my first thought was, will she put LSD in it. 😜

Yes I remember, it was just the first thing I thought of with "iced tea". They were hot tea drinkers back in the day, I am not used to Leslie drinking cold tea.
@rpgfantatic I agree... and it seems like a lot of people feel that way. The lack of character history and respect has turned MANY people off of GH. Too sad.
The ONLY good thing I see in this whole thing is the emotion that Chris & Denise brought to the scene. The words and action (no hug, etc.) were horrible ... But you could see the joy in their eyes being back as Rick & Lesley. Still hoping this is all a dream or another Cassadine captive and Cartini fix this soon!
Laura and Rick was always so close, yet in these later years she referred to him as Rick and not dad. Just doesn't sound right to me. She's always called him dad, why does she call him Rick now?
Laura, "I was just on the phone with Rick Webber". What happened to "My Dad"? Bogus writing and acting.
Lookig back at this you are alll right. This doesn't make any sense. Rick adoptred Laura she always considered him a fateher. Why does Laura keep calling him Rick Webber as if he is a unfamiliar figure. Also what happened to Leslie that she was "away." I know the Cassadines had something to do with her "death." But what happened to Rick and what happened to their adopted son Mike? These damn mafia writers TOTALLY cheated us. They act like they don't appreciate the rich GH history.
Fortunately when Mr. Valentino took over about 10 years ago , he brought back a renewed appreciation for GH's rich history .
Sorry the original volume is low. I had success putting the volume all the way up on the computer, on the video in you tube and at last resort putting in headphones.
From the comments alone, I refuse to watch this! I'd rather put up watching Monica & Ricks baloney (Because I know how that one goes) over this garbage! As I've said before, I'll kindly remain in 1977- early 1984 land! Thank you very much!
82mmkay I stay in the 1977-1984 land myself, and I go back and watch them again. I venture out like tonight and check out years I never watched to see what has happened. I haven't watched this yet, I read the comments first to gather some history, I stopped watching after Laura left at the end of 81.

Yes, that is a good way to describe it, staying in my bubble of the early years of Luke & Laura. I am venturing out tonight looking for Leslie, I didn't know I had watched this clip before until I started reading the comments.

I found it odd though that Laura said "I spoke to Rick Webber" He was her adoptive father...looks like she would have said I spoke to my dad...oh well maybe they had her say that for the benefit of viewrs who dont' knwo who Rick was.

Yes, I agree. .. they do that all the time though.... like in the fire section Luke says to Lulu, "go with Rick and Lesley"... he would have,should have at least said Rick and Grandma, no?? Probably because there was another Ric too on canvas they had to distingish which Rick... but I think Laura referred to him as Dad when talking to others, but still called him Rick... even when they were close. If I recall.
Why didn't lesley chatize rick for not keeping in touch with Laura for all those years. And Rick adopted Laura so he is not her step-dad, he is her father. I just hate Guza's writing!

@delidude1999 The writing staff has been ruining the show for years by bringing back characters from GH's glory years and ruining them. Scotty, Robert, Luke the deadbeat alcoholic dad.
They trashed Frisco and Felicia also.

@RealLoisLane But Rick and Laura DID stay in touch; she mentions knowing where he and Ginny are living when she and Luke returned in '93. I'm not sure b/c I only watched some of '96, but it seems like the writers "forgot" that after Lesley returned ...

Does anyone know what happened to Rick & Ginny? Did they divorce? What of their son Rick Jr? I'm just curious, as I hated Ginny Blake (no one could take the place of Lesley IMO) and I stopped watching GH soon after DA left the show!

Ginny and Rick divorced. He told Monica that. Mike found out he was a Barrington and left with the Barringtons.

can someone explain to me how were they able to bring leslie back. when she got into the accident in 84 they had her body in the morgue and at the funeral?
Stefan switched bodies after drugging her and pretending she was dead. She was held captive for 10 years in Greece.

@@robertosso5210 If you type in Twist of Fate you'll see the caper where Luke and Laura fake Stefan out in a computer game. Luke figured out where Stefan was hiding Leslie and was waiting in the house where Leslie was, when Laura gave the signal that her and Stefan were there, Luke set off explosives and took Leslie and Laura and Tom Hardy held Laura and Leslie somewhere for Luke to take to Switzerland and made it look like Laura died. They even had a fake funeral for her. Lucky was also involved. I think it was in 97 or 98.

@@robertosso5210 Stefan was secretly playing a computer game with Lucky and whenever Lucky won a fight against the creatures in the game, he would get a picture and the picture was some place in Port Charles. Luke and Laura found out because the name of the game was tamoria which Stefan used as a business name and it meant atonement. So they followed Lucky on level 4 of the game and Lucky almost sunk in quicksand. They then found the grave on the game which looked just like Leslies grave. The goal of the game had to do with a scrambled word that was mangard which Laura figured was grandma. So Luke and Lucky figured out where the location of the house where lady mangard or grandma was knowing it might be Leslie. Because Stefan helped save Lucky out of the quicksand, denied the game, but said to Laura that her hearts biggest wish would be realized. That's why they concluded that lady mangard was Leslie and they set up the fake bomb and Luke was already in the house when Stefan brought Laura there. Well worth watching. Look up Twist of fate.

I don't think he was around then... I am not sure though. I am NOT an expert on Rick and Lesley. Someone will know have lots of Rick and Lesley fans that frequent these videos.
