  • Working on a design to allow installing a power quality recorder within a CT meter base and still be able to secure the base for safety and security reasons.

    Ant . I think another inch would be good on the depth. It doesn't seem like there is enough clearance from the lid to the voltage clips. Last thing you want is for the clips to get knocked off and you don't discover it until you retrieve your recorder. Also some hanger hooks in the lid off set to one side to help store the leads would be good. I think its a great Idea...

    Are you still working on this cover? if so would making the top slope to shed water or a rubber seal along the top?

      Thanks. I may do a 2nd version, but being water tight isn't really an issue. The gear I use is weatherproof, I'm just trying to keep it secure and safe for curious fingers.

    I take it you think the city is ripping you off in terms of how much power you are using. Or am I missing the concept.

      Ha! No, Gene this my day job. I do power quality studies to help customers with problems. Just trying to make my job easier and safer.
