Classic Material. Brings back alot of memories. Smh@ those little cups of gatorade they used to give us once we got back in the stands. Still, good times looking back on it.
Thats the hampton I wanted to march in....they use to BRING IT on the field.....this was one of my favorite shows. Hampton had a party on the field LOL!
@fenix181 So true....we would get them in the 90's too...at least in the later parts...but right now...NSU is doing their thing man i'll give it to them. The new people don't really have that drive that we had back then. NSU new cats have that "go get em" attitude" and they've kept that over the years...and kept their band legacy going. Hopefully some of these old vids will spark something with the new Marching pirates (if they still even do that) and we will get the rivalry back going.
@Blakmajik78 Yeah it was fun competing against them and the animosity was strong. It's too nice now. Ironically though they got considerably smaller after they played us and they were in the CIAA championship game on their campus. Harvey was not happy.
Thank you for posting this!!! I'm on the left side the first flag girl in line!! This was when we were the bomb! Loved marching against NSU! This crap we have now should not carry our name-The Force because they are not a Force by any means.
@fenix181 You are so right. HIU owned the Legion. I only wished the Legion "borrowed" show elements from FAMU, Southern and TnSU so we could have owned the Force. You should add that the Force owned the Legion for past three decades as well. The Somali pirates had nothing on the force. Shrugs
My junior year in the band. Thank you for the memories 💙⚓
As Section Leader of Slide Force, I am delighted to see and hear my section in action !!! Thank you for this memory !!!
Thanks for posting this…I remember doing this show! HIU Marching Force Sax-O-Matic Alto Sax Section! D. Holly 86-88

I miss the real Hampton. I can’t believe it’s been over 30 years since this was the kind of band they put on the field.
When Hampton had STRENGTH AND POWER. And that play on NSU to HIU, NAAAAASSSTTTY!!!!! Gotta love the old school force.
Brings back memories. Loved Mr. Young and Mr. Ransom. Low Doowwwwwwn!!! 87-90. Daryl K.
Too funny. I have this somewhere too.....on VHS. LOL Just realized that I took one of these moves and put it in my daughter's praise dance team.

Sylvester young is was the director back then, he is now at FAMU..his alma mater....If only he'd come on back to good ole Hampton... ;)
What's the name of this drill song that they also used for transition?
@linnyspartan well he probably not happy now too lol....he should invest more money into his band program...like nsu does.
Lord Jesus will The Force ever get back to these days...somebody show Harvey (the president) this tape to get his band back to where it use to be lol.

😂 Now that’s not quite what I remember Hahaa. I remember them ALWAYS being bigger, but mannnnn the Legion was a Goliath slayer lol.
NSU is a much better band!!
