Wow Art that Maestro with all the trimmings is breathtaking. Love everything about it. By the way that was Beta ray Bill's Hammer that you couldn't remember the name. The only thing I do not like is that Doc Octopus tentacle. I can understand keeping all the other formidable characters equipment as trophies but Doc Octavius is not what I would consider a formidable opponent for the Maestro. Anyway other than that it's all outstanding. Love it and thank you for sharing it with us. Congratulations on getting it.

Haha no, we didnt really need it but it's good to have. Especially when i need to move heavy statues up top. I already ran out of space so i need to sell some statues off but i pretty much stop pre ordering statues now.

Seeing it here makes me understand how it got delayed a little with all the pieces. Its good there was 3 of you to put together, I pity a solo statue collector putting this thing together. What other stuff might you have coming this year? After seeing this done, all it does more is make me wonder when XM is finally gonna get out my King Batman Who Laughs, who also has an amazing base. Great review and thanks for sharing your honest thoughts and review in 4k. This statue is a beast and I agree the display box is a little too high but looks great with both Hulkbuster and Warmachine. Do you think the prototype the arms has more shading then yours or is it just down to light?
Statues where I need more than one person to set up is where i have to pass. I don’t trust my friends enough to help me unbox my precious statues. 😂 They already think I’m crazy spending the amount of money I do on them! So I guess I either need new friends who can help me, or I’d have to just admire this statue from other peoples collection.
i don't mind when people come and help as i instruct them to becareful. most of the guys are collectors themselves anyways so they know what they are doing so no worries here.
That mechanical cart thing you used to raise him was badass. Also, where’d you get that baby hatchet? lol Too cool. As for the statue, I got the version B too and it’s easily one of the best pieces I’ve ever seen/owned.
Congrats, I’ll save the drama it’s statue of the year lol I would switch to lithium batteries they do not leak (super rare if they do) what I use for all my stuff that lithium is an option
Not sure if lithium is as common where your at but in the states Energizer lithium batteries for AA for AAA is usually an option in the stores there about twice as expensive but they last longer and low risk for leaking. Have a hard time seeing this one being topped its a knock out of the park concept. You can almost do a separate category for your life size pieces you got a number of those in also this year. Hey Art, XM came out with smaller measurements recently and said you can arrange the trophy base differently so the depth is less, are you able to see how this is done? The depths went from 42” to 32”? Another really good review. I'm waiting on the Godzilla vs Kong diorama, that may take the crown for me for statue of the year.
i measured the depth at 35" which i think is better since my display is just a little less than 40". I haven't seen Kong vs Godzilla dio yet so hopefully i see it at WF tmr.
Couple more gripes. The stones should have been in the gauntlet. AC could have been contact spots. Also could have been clear bottoms of the vials with lights in the base underneath. Would have been better for overall display.
turntable is def cool. i dont mind the batteries as much though. i get that people want AC adaptor to light up their statues as it is much easier but if there is a problem with the light, then you are pretty much fucked.
What I like about this statue it has a turn table so if you have the statue against the wall and you setting it up yoU don’t have to get behind the statue to add its accessories all you have to do is turn the statue around on its turn table than add everything than turn it back around to its front
Not a fan of the trophies. The symbiotes/helmets look like a cheap toy you would find inside those transparent plastic balls that come in those quarter vending machines that I remember from my childhood. Strange's cape, looked like stone with those weird cracks which is odd because XM has done cloth better in the past. Maestro himself looks good, but if I'm not mistaken you can see brush marks of the black wash they did on the beige portions of the sentinel head. I noticed those same brush marks on the 1/3rd Transformer busts they were displaying at their gallery. Disappointing to say the least.
Walton! You are one tough customer! Those helmets are actually decent believe it or not. Symbiotes could have been better but i dont mind them since they are just props. I agree with Strange's cape as it does look like a stone. I have to check on brush marks you are talking about bc i dont recall it. Really though, overall i am very please with how it came out. that is a good point. it does take up 30 AAA batteries for the canisters which i wont be turning the light on myself other than taking photos of it.

Godzilla vs Kong diorama is 3 in 1.. so it cant compare to this. IMO but I do love Godzilla vs Kong diorama

The built in turntable is so rad. Still think all the batteries is a bust though.
