They don’t know for sure, it’s a bunch that have been voted finalists from the selection committee and the ones that get a knock on their hotel door Super Bowl weekend are the ones voted in the hall of fame
Look up Jerry Kramer! Played 11 seasons, 2 Super Bowls for the Packers. An outstanding player on a team of outstanding players with a phenomenal coach.
there is like 25 finalists who all go and wait in the hotel, its super bowl weekend which is a huge thing for past players so they are all there anyway for a whole bunch of different events. there is a time frame which they go to the room and wait and if they dont get in they get a phone call and if they do get in they get the knock.
The old fellow is legendary offensive lineman of Lombardi's Green Bay Packers. You might know him as the guy who made the block at the end of the "Ice Bowl" (-15 degrees Fahreheit during the game and the field was literally frozen) for Bart Starr to QB-sneak and defeat the Cowboys at Green Bay in 1967.
actually, they do invite all the finalist but not everyone gets the knock, if they dont get the knock later that night they will get a call saying sorry, maybe next year
Everyone who gets put on the ballot goes to the ceremony and stays at the same hotel. Majority of the people nominated dont get in and never get the knock. People like Tom Brady and Randy Moss "know" they are getting in, but others are not so obvious. Everyone knows Payton Manning will be in but what about Eli Manning? Its up to the votes, he has no idea.
Come to Ohio. Lots of pro sports including OSU. 2 of the best amusement parks in the country, Kings Island and Cedar Point. Rent a cave cabin at Hocking Hills State Park. US Air Force Museum @ Wright Patterson AFB (where they took the aliens!). You could even come for the MLS rivalry between Columbus Crew and FC Cincinnati called "Hell Is Real". There's a good 2 chapter video on the rivalry called "Hell Is Real Expect Chaos From MLS' Newest Rivalry"
It’s a real tragedy that they keep overlooking Robert Kraft, of the Patriots. He has done more for the NFL as an owner the past 25 years than any other owner.
owners shouldn’t get in unless they actually contribute something to football. all he did was write checks while Brady and Belichick won. Kraft didn’t come up with any revolutionary strategy or rules or anything
i just went and looked up the premier league HOF and How TF has the UK the creators of arguably the greatest sport ever created drop the ball so heavily on something so massive as its Hall of Fame? i mean really, it only started in 2021, its online only, and your already cutting back on how many are getting in each year to just 3 total for 2024. no ceremony, no busk, no meaning for the players it should be honoring. its sad, the players deserve better, the fans deserve better. and know it or not its can be a huge revenue stream for teams for years to come if done right. shit again our NCAA has outdone your pros again with our awards and honors for players.
You two should watch Ed Sabol: A Football Life. He was the founder of NFL Films. That man is responsible for making football fans out of millions of Americans.
Randy Moss wasn't that classy of a football player. He quit on a lot of teams and gave up on dozens of routes. He even cries on air over political and racially motivated BS. He's emotional.

Ahhh, I didn't know that. Part of me was thinking, "Surely they already know they've been inducted."
Thanks for that!

Jerry Kramer played for the Packers in the first two Super Bowls. It’s a shame he waited that long
Under coach Vince Lombardi, the man who the Super Bowl trophy is named after

Finally! There are several of these that are really good.

Bunch of grown men crying, love it. Nice heartwarming video.
The reason the Football Hall Of Fame is in Canton, Ohio, is because it's where the NFL was founded in 1920. . . . .
You should watch Randy Moss highlights, or Moss/Brady’s record setting season highlights… He was such a unicorn player, and that QB/WR duo were magic…
I’ve watched this hundred of times and I still tear up every time
4:06 that’s exactly what happens lmaoo.
Nice didn’t know this you show things that other spots channels don’t great

The rock and roll HOF is also in Ohio.
It’s not all players some are coaches and front office people
come to Ohio
Some of those guys know loke Bret Farve lol
It’s a real tragedy that they keep overlooking Robert Kraft, of the Patriots. He has done more for the NFL as an owner the past 25 years than any other owner.
He will get his happy ending

@@chase5835He is the whole reason the NFL strike was averted years ago. He is often called upon by ownership to deal with issues.

The HOF is pretty boring but it's good to see it at least once.
You two should watch Ed Sabol: A Football Life. He was the founder of NFL Films. That man is responsible for making football fans out of millions of Americans.
Speaking of NFL Films, one person who should get into the HOF as a contributor is John Facenda.
Randy Moss wasn't that classy of a football player. He quit on a lot of teams and gave up on dozens of routes. He even cries on air over political and racially motivated BS. He's emotional.
Nothing to say about Brett Farve though...interesting
