- This is an unboxing video of Corsair's Dominator Platinum RGB kit. 32GB of DDR4 RAM with 3600Mhz speed. In this video I'll show you how to install the RAM, give close up views and show you the settings necessary in the motherboard BIOS to activate XMP and make sure it's running at full speed.

i bought this ram for two main reasons... 1) I'm doing a mostly white build 2) I like the simplicity of the ram profile with the RGB; no goofy looking curves or bumps along the top just a nice straight edge with LEDs

I just bought this RAM in white, the 4x8GB 3600Mhz config for my white 12th gen i9 build i had Vengance RGB pro for a few years solid memory kit but wasn't looking great with my current build, i'm still on DDR4 cause I don't wanna upgrade to DDR5 just yet until they get cheaper, I should get the ram tomorrow from amazon uk I already have a kit in black for my black 12th gen i5 build, the RAM is stunning, such top notch quality from Corsair.

Always wondered why MB manufacturers don't leave more space between ram slot. Would allow for better air flow, cooling and most important, seeing the RGB on the sides of your ram. Great vid Prawn! 👍🏼🦐👍🏼

Noob question: what software is used to control the rgb on the ram sticks? Is that the MSI motherboard software?

I bought this ram 4x16 gig sticks, and I cant get the 5600 speed under xmp, worst investment ever. When I try using xmp all I get is a blank screen during boot. I've tried everything.
Are you able to control the RGB through iCue or are you limited to MSI’s software?

Even after enabling XMP, my ram won't go to 3600 as advertised.
I try to do it manually but it resets back to auto every time it boots at the Bios.

Just had a quick question. I’m making another pc build and this one is going to be quite beefy. I was just wondering for the 4x8 ddr4 3600 ram, since it comes as one kit, once you adjust the frequency in bios, as portrayed in the video, will every stick run at 1800 individually

Hi, bit of a noob when it comes to stuff like this. I just purchased a 2 x 8gb kit of Dominator RGB 3000mhz and have them running at 3400mhz on the D.O.C.P profile in my bios. I'm planning on getting another 2 sticks, will they all possibly run at 3400mhz on the D.O.C.P profile I would I have to manually tune myself? Thanks
Probably not! It is very important that you buy them as a kit and not separately because the timing and latency have to match or very close to each other for them to run and perform side by side with each other.
When they run it in the factory they determined which one would match very close and be sold as a kit of 4 or 2.

i've got the vengeance kit (3600 2x8) but when i set auto xmp my pc crashes (it boots but crashes on windows), what can i do? They are version 4.32 and i have a 9600k btw

I'm getting ready to order this ram... On Amazon it says pattern name AMD only does that mean that particular set is only compatible with ryzen cpus?? I've tried to Google the answer but I can't seem to get a straight answer...

3200mhz kit says pattern name says intel and AMD so I went with 3200mhz I couldn't get a solid answer anywhere, I just figured 3600mhz from this supplier is not available for intel at this point... IDK...

I have them in black but 3200mhz doesnt run with xmp well it does but its definitely not stable
Weird. I've tried both 3600 and 3466 and they're both fine.
@@TheProvokedPrawn well im using the 3200mhz version so it might not be the same as the higher end ones also theres been alot of people talking about these specifically having a high failure rate sucks because i have a full corsair build my sticks are corrupting my os even after doing a full windows reinstall

@@TheProvokedPrawn ive tried to rma them but they declined my request because memtest 86 only failed the hammer test but windows diagnostics does sometime come back with errors and sometimes they come back fine with no errors so idk im just gonna have cut my losses and go back to g skill they never failed me

@@JustAShadow. I would go for the 3080 or the 3090. The 3080ti is not worth the money.
