If you stay too close to the hook the survivors have a timer. It activates 7 seconds after they are hooked and the speed it fills up depends on how close you are. When it is full, the survivors get a 100% unhook chance, even in second stage. Also it was funny how the hatch was right next to you guys and she didn’t know
Something similar happened to me about 3 and a half years ago i played a match on shelter woods as cheryl agaisnt a ghostface, when he killed my last teammate i was near him and i knew the hatch was at the other side of the map bc and i saw it earlier and i started running and ghostface started to chase me and when i was about 20m of the hatch he downed me and he stood afk, and instead of crawling i started to recover myself bc i had unbreakable and soul guard and after i recovered i started running to the hatch and he hit me half way and i managed to escape, and i asked why he went afk and it was bc he started smoking a cigarette lol
