*How to hold the needle holder ? By thumb and ring fingers, and the index finger on the joint of the instrument
*tip 2 : the tissue penetration motion is done by twisting the wrist

So for this video you did 4 throws. A surgeon’s knot topped with a square knot.
Theoretically the surgeon’s knot (first 2 throws) should adequately hold the wound, but people often do a third overhand knot on top of the surgeon’s knot to secure it.
