Superman deserves more projects. DC likes to sideline him so much. Idk how there could be two batman in silver screen at the same time but there cant be another superman in a fkn tv show.
Honestly I hope they knock it out of park in MAWS S3 so we get at least another season and maybe a spin-off show with Wonder Woman. I love this universe and I think it can grow to become the next DCAU if they play their cards right.
Make a video for what if the arrowverse could use all DC characters where you replace shows like Arrow or The Flash with Batman or Superman shows, and instead of Crisis on Infinite Earths as the big crossover it can be a Darkseid / Apokolips War type crossover.
All hype for the DCU is conditional on how well Superman does at the box office. If one or two of these movies underperform, I’ve no doubt WB will scrap everything else.
I'm extremely excited to see all these shows and characters, however the more I hear about Lanterns the more mixed I am about it since the entire show's grounded mystery premise sounds like it would work better for a character like Martian Manhunter since he's actually a detective/alien superhero who's solved grounded cases on Earth. Im also concerned about how they plan to use an older Hal Jordan since while I very much love John Stewart and I think Aaron Pierre is an excellent casting for John, I fear that neglecting Hals past or his legacy will just neglect a lot of great and interesting GL lore/stories like Hals character arc of overcoming his self hate and inner emotional turmoil, his rocky but compelling romance with Carol Ferris or his iconic complex rivalry with Sinestro. I just hope that they plan to make a prequel series or movie about Hal's past as a GL since while people believe Hal's an irrelevant character, that's only because they fail to understand how much his character plays a pivotal role in building many story elements like the Emotional Spectrum of Lantern Corps. I also hope they don't do something stupid like attempt John and Sinestro into arch enemies in the DCU, since while yes John and Sinestro have fought before, their dynamic is hardly as interesting or personal as Hal and Sinestro's rivalry since they actually have history as former partners and friends. It would be even more insulting if they just straight up made John Sinestro's friend to retain that downfall story arc, which would just be completely unnecessary and contradict Hals character, Sinestro's character and reduce Johns actual origin to be redundant which is far from the truth.

I really don’t care about whether I like or dislike any of the DCU projects. I am just worried on how successful they are going to be. That was how Marvel did well the first time: create a simple project and then branch out to many others. This road map by DC Studios feels completely unnecessary for getting a cinematic universe off the ground
I’m so glad we got at least 4 seasons of Superman and Lois. It was bound to end when it did, either due to the DCU or the change in ownership at The CW. It will likely be a long time before there’s another live-action Superman show, but until then S&L will have a strong legacy. I’m excited for some of these shows, but I’m still not sold on why The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker are soft-canon to the new DCU when they’re so firmly set in the DCEU. Because James Gunn wants it that way, I guess, but that’s not a very good reason. And I have less than 0 interest in Paradise Lost. Who that show is for, I don’t know.
