Free DIY Grounding Shoes / Free Earthing Shoe Mod Tutorial and Results

I watched a documentary about Grounding / Earthing and wanted to try, but the shoe mods sold online are $40. Here is my DIY version for those who just want to see if it works for them.
I ended up putting the short copper wire on both. I prefer the comfort, and it does a similar job. It makes it really easy to pull off the mod if I get caught in a storm with them. Where I live, the weather can turn without warning.
Forgive the video quality, I used free tools to create it.

I’ve done similar & found some leather insoles which have an underside of carbon to absorb any sweat. This is of course highly conductive & works well.
Modern military boots are usually antistatic these days with conductive soles.

From what ive observed the grounding shoes are all made of leather . Leather soles only .

Probably so you dont get hit by lightning.
