Hi Cedar thanks for your videos. They are very helpful to looking after my bees.
I was watching a Fred Dunn video yesterday and he was a a bee expo somewhere in the US. Why don’t we have bee expos here or do we and they don’t advertise them well? You see so much products that we don’t seem to get here and the US producers don’t deliver to Australia.
We need more of these expos here.

There are quite a few expo's in Australia, We have made it to a few in the past. We are hoping to attend more in the feature.

Is there a web site that lists these expo dates coming up and where they are going to be held??
      David.

How often do you need to service and check the brood box?

Not a bad thing to get in every week in the spring

The Flow Hive drastically reduces the amount of work involved in harvesting, however, other important practices are required to keep your hive humming along successfully.
In terms of caring for the colony, you must inspect and monitor your bees throughout the year.
Routine inspections are made before and after winter, however, the frequency will depend on your location and the needs of your colony. The easiest way to understand how much maintenance your colony will need in your area is by consulting with local and experienced beekeepers.
It’s important to monitor for pests and diseases, swarm control and to ensure your bees have the resources to survive the winter. Here on the east coast of Australia we generally have forage available for the bees all year round but there are some pests and diseases that are critically important to be aware of, to protect the colony and manage the hive correctly to avoid losing it.
Luckily inspecting your bees is one of the most exciting parts of beekeeping
