Started another small nursery tray last night..Tea bags mainly with some carbon underneath....and approx 100 'whisps' and slightly bigger..
Just reminds me to harvest and start my bin again 🙂
Ha! Glad I could help!
Danke
Gern geschehen!
I love it!! It's always a great time to start Vermicomposting...especially when we can scoop up all those Jack'O'Lanterns for our bins!! Another great episode Steve!!🪱🪱🪱
Thanks VLD!
Great video 🇳🇿❤
Thank you DNA! 😃
Without thermophillic pre-composting of leaves and garden waste like grass clippings how do you prevent infesting your worm bins with invasive jumping worm larvae and cocoons? Any suggestions?
That would be tough but for as much as I've used leaf mold over the past couple of years, I haven't seen any infestation of my bins.
The good news is that these jumping worms are actually somewhat difficult to culture in a worm bin.
Thank you for sharing brother! Spring is the worst. Hhaha
Thanks Jeffrey!
I started mine last April. I think I let it get too dry, or maybe too hot, or maybe both. I lost the majority of my worms. I just added two more pounds. So, I guess I'm starting my bin at the right time of year.
Yes, now is a great time. Temps have broken in most of the US anyways!
