I make a rice recipe similar to yours. I just add red peppers, peas and sautéed zucchini. Then, when it is done, I add the cut up angel hair pasta which I toast in a skillet without any butter or oil, until it becomes brown. Then I add it to the rice, the moisture of the rice, makes it soft and delicious, and since the pasta is darker than the rice, it looks very appetizing. You know this is a rice recipe that arabs make. I also put any left over meats, and when I feel nice to my family..... I make it with shrimp, if I find it on sale....❤️👏👍🌷

I've always found it easier to strip a carcass right after dinner while it's still warm. Being cold makes it harder.

We like to make a Spanish style rice-a-Roni by making the noodles and rice like you do and adding fried onions and hamburger and rotel... so goood!

My mom taught me how to make Rice-a-roni when I was a little kid, and it is a FAVORITE around here. Adding chicken is a great idea!

I make this too but I leave out the spaghetti noodles to make it gluten free.
How did you get my recipe....lol. Been doing this since late 1980s. I add other seasonings instead of bouillon since had to go gluten free & use gf pasta of any style I can find as it mixes it up. Good for you.
LOL! I’ve been making this for ever a year. Isn’t great! My kids don’t like buttered rice like I do, but they will eat this up.
