I'm pretty sure millions of other teens like me around the world who grew up hearing this music in roblox tycoons all feel nostalgic about this to an extent, some more than others. I find it interesting how impactful 4 soundtracks can be, it was nice to feel young again, back when we had nothing to worry about and no responsibilities besides school. Now, we're all getting old. The cycle of life is truly something.

Nothing can change my mind that 2016-mid 2019 was THE time to be alive. I don’t even know how express how happy I was during those years. Playing the role-play games, the obbies, meeting new people, no toxic fan bases on roblox, THE TYCOONS! It was all I could ask for. There was so much joy in playing at that time and i would do anything to time travel back.
EDIT: thank you guys so much for all the support on the comment. I’m glad to see that a huge community built up over the years. It’s sad to think that all the good roblox games are either taken down, or change completely. Really does suck. 2016-2017 roblox will forever be an era we can miss, but sadly cannot go back to.

I joined in 2016. Man I miss the golden era where everyone was wholesome and friendly and you could play all the nostalgic games you’d like and make memories.
Someone like this so I can back to this wonderfully 17 minute video of pure golden memories.
As a 2017 Player, this gives me a sense of great nostalgia. I used to play games like Work at a Pizza Place, Deathrun, Clone Tycoon 2, Life in Paradise, etc.

As a person active since the later part of Classic era of Roblox (2012), seeing people reminisce on this time feels very strange. On one hand, it's a bit sad seeing "my time" of the game has been somewhat forgotten, but on the other, I'm happy. It's interesting seeing how nostalgia for this game shifts, and how we all cling to different memories. That makes me happy.
It reminds me there really is no objective best era of Roblox. The best era is the one you have the fondest memories of.
Strange for me too. I joined in 2017 and I vividly remember people getting nostalgic over 2013 roblox and saying 2017/18 roblox sucked because of ODers, bad community, whatever. Now people are nostalgic about 2017/18 and saying that roblox sucks nowadays because of slenders, rthro, etc. The reality is that we all grew up in different times and everyone gets nostalgic about our childhoods, thats human nature. It’s just that our childhoods may have occurred in 2007, 2012, or 2017, or may be occurring now. Believe it or not, eventually people will be nostalgic about 2023 roblox.
There’s this quote from a former roblox youtuber called Fave that I think encapsulates this whole roblox nostalgia thing:
“Roblox never had a golden age. Whenever you joined Roblox, that’s when you enjoyed it the most. You were not used to it, it was brand new, rip it out the plastic like a brand new game. Overtime, it became less fun, and that’s where this mindset comes from.”
As someone who started playing roblox in 2012 I can relate so hard to this lmfao.

i miss those times where tycoons weren't that fancy, no random pop up of a gamepass and you could just roam freely while letting your droppers do the work, honesty would give everything i have to stay in that era

As someone who originally started playing Roblox in 2015 I completely understand this. I genuinely miss 2015-2018, it was easily my favorite era in Roblox. It was easy to make friends, people would actively follow you, no gangs, and no hate. I also remember things like superhero tycoon, they were really fun back in the day. I also used to watch GWK back in the 2018 era, when he played tycoons and obbies. I'll miss 2015-2018, they were awesome and I wish we could go back.

i joined in early 2018 and played prison life, the games were objectively worse quality but felt more like a fun project rather than a soulless cashgrab, and the community was usually friendlier with noodle hairs and such
of course, there were this jpeg adidas wearing people with the salad hair and paper hat, bear mask and frozen arm and frozen/skeletonized leg, the pre-slenders, but they were less common

As a person who joined Roblox in 2016, I can say these are the best type of Roblox music. I used to love the tycoons back in 2016-2018 as the music was entertaining enough to make me stay on them for hours each day.

This Genuinely Made Me Tear Up. The nostalgia from this music and from tycoons was so good, reminds me of 10 yr old me finally completing Clone Tycoon 2, this music will always be amazing and hopefully will never be forgotten in the community. It's been 7 years since this music was thriving in roblox tycoons. Not just tycoons, but other games, such as lucky block battlegrounds. This music will always bring back nostalgia from the good ol' days of 2017-2018 of Roblox. A truly wonderful masterpiece of music, I haven't heard anything more nostalgic in so long. pandemic hits, and the skyrocket in gaming causes roblox to change forever, and encourages all the toxic people to start joining.
2023 comes. oof is removed, more edating, racism, discrimination. the minute I go outside, someones laughing at me or someone is doing sketchy things. at this point who knows what the world or roblox will come to...

I literally joined january 2020 but I wish I joined a lot earlier. I agree with you, kids should not be acting like this, they shouldn't be so racist and mean. I do however like that there's more ways to make cute and unique avatars but the ones from 2016-17 were just so cool looking. Like I said, I joined in january of 2020 and I feel like I got a little bit of that old roblox. I miss it so much. Look what it's like now (still play it because it's fun)

Roblox was very toxic pre 2020. Just look at the old forums, thats where you find alot of toxicity in pre 2017.(though i do confess i remember them fondly, and the loss of the community sucks)

2015 through mid 2018 definitely were the most carefree and overall happiest years of my entire life, and joining Roblox in 2016 really made me see those years as golden, not only of my life, but of Roblox
I won't go over the fact that the community was overall just nicer, that's boring
I do, however, believe that many people are so fond of those times is because they were younger and, automatically, appreciated things a lot more, as well as the fact that a lot of people joined Roblox in the years 2015-2016. The sheer amount of tycoons, obbies, and roleplaying minigames that were actually decent back then was, for the average kid back then, pretty much all they could ask for, making friends every day and having fun.
And all the great features and updates that Roblox had recently pale in comparison to the awesome memories and friends we made in those years.

It feels so weird for people to be missing 2017-2019 "the dark ages of roblox" as people used to call those years but it honestly makes sense. They probably made alot of memories in this time and since they didn't know what came before, they focused on all the good, which some old rblx mfs couldn't do because they were too attached to their era. So it's interesting to see how much the experience of Roblox actually varies from person to person.

I joined roblox mid 2018 or so and i remember this music because a few of the first games I played were tycoons. I instantly felt nostalgia clicking play, remembering when you would constantly break into other tycoons with sword, maxing out your tycoon, and getting jealous of the guy who had the best gear in the game. Those were the times of roblox for me and so many others. I really wish that someone will remake all the 2018 and 2019 tycoons for us to enjoy again.

Bro back in those good years, we loved these years and we met a lot of friends through the years but Roblox isn’t the same anymore. This got nostalgic inside my heart, all the games we enjoyed, especially tycoons. OG Roblox players truly know how much this meant to us.

I kind of consider it to be "Nostalgic" to me because 2017 was when I had a lot of fun playing Roblox. I started in like 2013 with a guest account. Even if they are "newgen" Players, it's still been a bit of years since 2017. TLDR; 2017 Roblox is considered old and nostalgic to other players since it was a time when many joined.

i joined in 2012, back then, obbies and PVP games were very popular. I remember spending hours playing roblox. nowadays, roblox doesnt have that kind of charm to it as it did back in 2013-2014
@@lemon6539 I view pre-2014 roblox as a little limiting, but I think 2015-2016 Roblox shared the best of both worlds. It wasn't Crazy and money-hungry like today, but it wasn't too basic that it was difficult to develop a game.

I joined late 2017, JUST A FEW WEEKS BEFORE GUEST WAS REMOVED.I managed to experience things that I, cannot ever revist again. The nostalgia, the community, the games. Even guest itself. It was fun while it lasted guys.
i could say so much about this music, but nothing would ever do it justice. the memories, the nostalgia, the way it used to be, everything. brought me back so hard. couldn't be happier with this, and i find it incredible that four songs can do this. NCS has the best collection of music. i grew up on roblox, and the way it is now is disappointing, but old games will always still be available. 2017 really was a different time, and i wish i could go back.

I joined roblox in 2011 during the pre classic - classic era, and hearing this as time went on was so nostalgic for me. Coming back to this brings home a wave of memories just playing tycoon games to pass time. 2014 - 2018 were the best years for me and roblox (in my opinion), and seeing what roblox has become today is a sad reflection on what we were used to during the good times. Thanks dude.

When I played roblox back then, it was just pure fun and vibes, joining fun games, meeting new poeple and adding them, watching roblox youtubers, lauching having fun, playing with friends, playing the obbies, playing the tycoons, playing the og games, no hate, no toxicity, no nad games, just pure fun and vibes, the times back then were absolutely incredible. The nostalgia makes me smile and be sad at the same time, i love roblox. All the memories.

this period was in my eyes the golden age of roblox. the community was nice, games were more simpler, roblox youtubers were at its peak, obbies, tycoons, simulators, adopt and raise roleplays, it's sad to see what's become in the recent years.

Unfortunate that as time passes you will quit playing only to later notice returning all music is gone, no good audios exist unless they are bypassed but they only stay alive for a few days. The days when it was an enjoyable game filled with kids meeting each other and developing friendships only to lose those friends when they quit the game. Roblox wasn't just a game, it was something to escape from reality. Forgetting everything that was happening around you as you get into a game feeling like it was reality. As a Roblox player who joined in 2017, this perfectly describes what we were jamming to before Roblox plunged into chaos.
i started around 2012-2013 as a guest and joined in 2014 so 2017 being nostalgic is absolutely insane to me
around 2016 was the time I really got into roblox and honestly, everything was amazing with games like twisted murder and the cool lil rainbow avatars people had. not to mention the countless cartride themed games or stolen games like city of robloxia, or those weird box ride games. the only unfortunate thing about this era is that popular games from that time could not keep up with the times and fell into obscurity as years passes. theses games would be filtered out with trash cash grabs with low effort. That's why i prefered the older era as there seemed to be countless games to play than one and done games.

I won’t lie, 2014-2016-2018 were the happiest years of my life, I miss the times when I used to be happier. Today, 30/07/2023, I have lost 90% of my best friends on Roblox and I truly miss them and those games that we used to play together with a big smile. Roblox was and is a good platform.

as a person who played since 2012 roblox, most people will say that roblox is for little kids that likes online dating, but only old people 2012-2019 ppl will know what a game roblox was before. I wish i could go back to those times, i mean, people say it was a clean community, but in those times there were toxic ppl and hackers, but all those games bro, jailbreak, work at pizza place, super hero tycoon etc..., no realistic avatars, no furries, no sexualized avatars, no 18+ animations. you guys just wont understand how i feel while hearing this music, all that memories that came into my head.

Yes the oldest of Roblox was really authentic. But the late 2010's had good quality games with only middling amounts of creative sellout for profit.
For a good time compromise would be considering the oldest of Roblox being the classical era of Roblox while the 15-18 period is like the early modern period. (The odd period in human history between the Renaissance and industrial revolution)

As a person that started playing roblox in late 2017 I can safely say that was my favourite period of the game. There was no people arguing everything was so chill and it was much easier to be entertained in simple games.
