@Nicholas Some reactors do react to youtube videos. Occasionally, the YTP section will even start memeing, giving you reactions to reactions to reactions to reactions. It gets pretty unawatchable after the 5th or 6th person tries to one-up everyone who came before them though.
Didn't really jab at reactors, they jabbed at how meta it is that reactors react to other people reacting. Didn't destroy any theories. They maybe pointed the fact there might not be continuity with Phoenix Person, Tammy, Galactic Federation and Evil Morty But that's not to say they won't in the future. Who knows.

At some point Harmon said he won’t do anything in the show that people online guessed. Apparently someone nailed a big twist early on and they had to drop it. Based on that, this episode felt to me like they were saying ‘hey, knock it off theoryists and just watch the show.’ But I could be wrong, was super high watching this one
They never "had" to do anything. I really hate that policy because it's stupid and serves no one. All it does is punish your audience for being too smart by giving them an inferior show. You'd think with all the time Justin Roiland spent with Alex Hirsch, he would have learned that it's okay when the audience guesses stuff in advance. "Everyone" online knew about the fan theory that Grunkle Stan had a twin. And you know what happened when the fan theory came true? NOTHING SPECIAL. Most of the casual fans were surprised, the online theorists got to feel like their obsession over the show was justified, one dude in particular was probably over the moon for guessing it, Soos did a throwaway joke about predicting a plot point in Ducktective, and LIFE WENT ON. It was win-win! But I guess Justin would rather have a 9/10 show nobody saw coming than a 10/10 show that sticks to its guns.

And I'm pretty sure Dan Harmon did not state this was a hard policy - he said it was an issue, and as a writer you naturally don't want the audience being ahead of you. I think this episode is not so much directly about that anyway, but more like a direct rebuttal to fans who are desperate to get the next evil morty episode, or the next birdperson (or cyber-phoenix) episode, and get butthurt when R&M does not fulfill their (boring and trite in the eyes of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland) expectations. When asked things like "when will this (fan fave) character come back?" they usually say something like "when its funny and unexpected, which might be never, especially as so many fans expect it to happen". IMO they are not trying to make a show that follows the same shitty narrative tropes as everything else, and they like trolling the fans that do want that, thats what I think this is about... probably. As well as cum gutters. They really seem to like cum gutters. (A phrase I wish they had not just taught me existed).
I just want to have fun. I don't care or read theories....but season 4 has sucked for me. The first 3 were incredible but I'm 7 episodes in and nothing is really memorable.

I... can't remember where I heard this... some video on design, I think? ...but they said they were tasked to design a toy train for a popular sci-fi property with notorious fans, and something about the design constraints, the production pipeline, and the timing of the show prevented it from coming to pass. I wish I could remember more detail than that, because this memory has the Mandela Effect effect (I.E. a false memory caused by misremembering the details, See Captain Disillusion's video on the Mandela Effect for more information) written all over it.
