So few channels dealing with commercial I'll have to recommend your channel to the learners at college. Short, logical and methodical fault finding, I look forward to watching more.

Got one of these locking out on APS fault.
Always a good idea to remove air intake set (brass block where air tubes connect) as the brass rod (connected to brass block) can get choked, the rod has two holes to which the air pressure switch gets it signal, the rod sits inside the air intake housing.

Thanks for sharing, good shout. I wanted to swop the brass rod around on this one with one that was working. Yet ran out of time on my PPMs. I recall booking up an APS. never know what came of this burner.

Two screws to remove brass block from housing then just pull out the rod.
I say rod but it is pipe with two holes drilled in the side, you could remove air intake grille and visually inspect that the tube/holes are clear.
The brass air intake block has a nipple with a locknut (just below air intake nipples), this is used to alter the differential pressure across the take off nipples (dependant on chamber pressure).
Keep it up as I enjoy your videos.

@@Brutus1962 good comprehensive explanation. Need more of that on this channel. Yet people seem too shy or busy to share their knowledge and experience. Thanks again.

This is no substitute for proper burner training. I am not a trainer so take this information with a pinch of salt. Simply an engineer learning and passing on what they have learnt. Without training or supervision it would be best for you to leave these units alone. Stay safe.
