3:30 going from intense double bass drumming and then taking a split moment right at 3:33 to do hi hat step and THEN back to intense double bass. That was impressive and glad they caught that in the filming.
I like that you guys are releasing these highly produced drum videos. Its always fun to watch a great drummer. All I can do is just slowly shake my head and think "I can't do that, probably not even with a lot of practice" haha. I can play the opening to Everything Went Black, but thats about as far as I can make it currently.
@@goldenchild2354 as a guitarist , the way Alan uses different cymbals for different parts of the riff i think it helps the riff and compliments it beautifully
I cannot stop watching this. This is probably my favourite song to come out by TBDM recently, but to see that amazing stick work along with it... Holy shit. You've outdone yourself matching this song perfectly to the guitars. I'll never get tired of hearing/seeing this. Please for the love of pizza, please keep making music forever. Thanks for being dope.
I remember watching Alan play when I was in nineth grade for dead ashore. It's nice to see someone from our hometown finally make it. He's always been a beast and only getting better congrats bro !
That is amazing. Alan's transformation has been extraordinary. Well done sir. You are definitely the successor to Shannon. I think the band made a good pick on this position. You're a badass Alan.
Fuck yes this is what I've been waiting for! This is one of my favorite songs when it comes to drums on the album and I've wanted to see how you actually play it. The whole band knocked it out of the park with the Nightbringers album in my opinion. Not to mention it's my favorite lineup the TBDM has ever had. I hope to see you guys live one day. Thanks for doing these videos!
This song is great! I like that in the BDM discography the drums of this song contain (seemingly) the most difficult drum parts and the simplest drum parts. And both are just so powerful.
@morbidcorpse you're not 1/10'th of 1% rude ass. shannon parted the band by his own will, so don't bash the next person in line just because they're the next person in line.
@morbidcorpse Take it you're not a drummer? No body who actually plays would make such a moronic statement. Shannon got stale near the end. Burnt out early and it was recognizable. Shannon is a tank, don't get me wrong, but Alan is easily the best drummer they've had. And that's almost (ALMOST) objectively so.
@@jorgechavez1430 Shannon wrote drumparts that fit perfectly with the music, while Alan is more "all over the place" if that makes any sense. But following Alans progression each album, he is getting there for sure. Absolutely sick drummers both, nonetheless.
@@jorgechavez1430 yeah, i agree. Though i in almost every case prefer the more "musical" drummer, like Inferno from Behemoth. If he left, i dont know who would be able to replace him to be perfectly honest. His style has a watermark on their music. Maybe im just nostalgic cuz Nocturnal/Deflorate had such an impact on me, who knows... 😂
Most excellent. Would've loved to have heard some fluctuating double kick tempos during the chorus parts (like Deathmask interlude). Either way, youre killin' it.
Fucking hilarious how you relaxed you look, smashing these ungodly songs. Fair play mate, one of the most talented drummers I’ve seen. You touring England anytime?
alot of these pro drummers run a click track, which makes life alot better. if you can figure out the timing threw the whole song you can make your own click track.
@Alan Cassidy Great job once again on these "natural" playtroughs. The internet needs more unquantized performances, like these. Also, great to see you sit super low, I sit the exact same way and I keep getting harassed by everyone "oh ur gonna fuck ur back holmes", but it feels preety good and natural to me, glad to see not the only one. Hope to c u live soon bro!
Can anyone with drum knowledge tell me what's going on with the blast at 2:31? I hear different sounds from the snare. Like different accents. Is he switching back and forth from rimshots to normal blasts?
Alan, please, tell me this because I'm very curious and I think other people may be too: how do you compose these parts? In guitar pro and similars or straight on the drums?
Ohhh yurrrrr!
66Samus there you arrrreee
66Samus Got any used fleshlights I can take off your hands?
Please do another TBDM cover 👀👀
hell yurr!
Would be cool to see you do a Black dahlia murder cover!
3:30 going from intense double bass drumming and then taking a split moment right at 3:33 to do hi hat step and THEN back to intense double bass. That was impressive and glad they caught that in the filming.
Except he blasts with one foot so his left foot was already there... But it's a really impressive performance anyways
SCREAMING AS WE ARE BOTH EATEN ALIVE!!

Chris CXK even you know by now pratice makes perfect buddy.. dont give up on yourself you are all you got.
Our band's guitar player always judging me for using "too many cymbals". I showed him this video.)))
Wilson Saka-san never too many cymbals 😂

barely any look of strain on his face. this man is a legend, and a creative one too

You're such a music-first drummer. I can't wait to hear what you bring to the next Slugdge album.

@@jacksonbarker7594 Yeah! He was a fan early on and joined after Esoteric Malacology.

2:15 ooooooh interesting
My fucking favorite BDM song and my fucking favorite drummer right now!!!
Can’t wait to see this live on June 20!!!
Harrison Shaw 20th is my birthday. I will try to see them on the 28th in my town.

Super!!!
That Maruta shirt! Crazy cuz Nick has a nice blast, even though his timing gets off.

RealLifeIsShit we did back in March but we’re prob not coming back this year
I can play 1:15 to 1:31 lmao
I can't, my dumbass isn't coordinated enough even for that shit. That's why I stick to guitar.

KillerBoots - better than me
You look like Dave from Revocation lol

这是种特殊音乐风格。技巧比较单一。
endorsed by tama drums yet playing pearl diablo drive pedals?
Fucking good shit, da metal is strong in this one.
Alan, please, tell me this because I'm very curious and I think other people may be too: how do you compose these parts? In guitar pro and similars or straight on the drums?
Eric Cervelli I write some fills and some beats on drums and some with midi. All my drum demos are midi tho.
Oh, nice... Thanks for answering! And great performance BTW (y)
Curious why you prefer Pearl pedals to Iron/Speed Cobras.
Ryan Cause they paid more for endorsement.
Iron Cobra doesn't make direct drive pedals, far as I know, and I like the Demon Drives he uses better than Axis, even.
Bad ass
Fuck yeah brother!
