In the winter in Missouri, you're "going to sleep" position would be a sure way to gather snow and ice. I'd rather it be sloped to let gravity rid it of the elements.
Is it possible to align the panel manually if the electronics fail?
Hello, how much does the complete system weigh? And can you tell me the dimensions of the concrete base and the pillar? Thank you so much. Tony
Great video. I counted 20 panels mounted on the tracker. Given that it is a 5.2KW system, is each panel rated about 260W ? Thanks
Yes, the are 260-watt panels.
How much does that setup cost? I was looking to do dual axis half that size since a concrete truck and forklift won't make it between the fence. I love the idea of solar tracking!
We would need to figure out what your goals are and who your energy company is to see if this type of system would be beneficial for you first. Feel free to give us a call where all of your questions can be answered! You can tell them Rielly sent you... 919.439.6949
How well does it handle hurricane strength winds?
Not the panels. Maybe 100 mph max
cheaper to add panels to a solid mount
