They don’t know Finnish. We Norwegians know Swedish and danish because it’s quite similar and we grow up watching Swedish kids shows. Finnish is totally different

Yeah, and since we have a lot of different dialects in Norway, our ears are kinda "tuned" to accept variations in language, and "guess" what it means. For Swedish though, there are a lot of words that are completely different, and we probably wouldn't know what they meant had it not been for the kids shows growing up :D

@@HenoikI noticed that when Calle sang that he sits on the couch and is “rolig som fan” the subtitles translated that to “quiet as hell” because rolig means basically “calm” in Norwegian. But in Swedish it means “funny”. Since he was singing in Swedish, that’s what the subtitles should have said. Little differences like that between the languages can make things interesting. Yesterday I told a nice Swedish lady that I don’t know how to knit sugar. She probably thought I was crazy

I always thought the Finnish thing was them honoring the Swedish speaking parts of Finland as well, since they did the thing in Swedish to begin with.

Nope! It is just me and a few other fans here. I am now a fan of a Finnish artist who got fans all over the world. But not in Sweden. We are so ignorant towards our neighbours. Käärijä 💚
