Jon, I’m still checking in on a regular basis.. It’s easy to see the improvements in your titles etc comparing your OL’s to the your newest listings. Just daily refinements.
Have you always done bucket-prices shipping or did you start with/ calculated? Thoughts on free shipping, Walter Blake Knoblock is pretty opinionated about using it - even on preowned clothing…

I personally don't like free shipping because you lose more money on returns. Also, I view it as an incentive to not return items because customers (who are smart enough to realize they don't get their original shipping refunded) are less likely to return item.

@@OldTreeOutfitters Thx for your thoughts on this highly-debatable aspect of the business. I guess we can all think Chris Lin for drilling it into our heads to never ever ever do free shipping with clothing, but especially when offering “free”returns… that it’s a recipe for disaster (as you point out). However, at this point, I’m willing to throw a Hail Mary pass for a month, and try it, the biggest impediment is, there’s no easy way (at least according to my wife, who does all our listing), to incorporate it. Apparently one can’t just “click a button”.. she thinks we’ll need to go in and edit every listing individually. She says it’s a similar hurdle, the same problem (says we probably need to call eBay to ask them how to do it) if we were to switch our store to the bucket shipping that you, and the other influencers I respect & admire (Sean Taylor here in Texas aka Taylor Exchange and J-Ride, amongst a host of others). Josh there in Utah put out a really great how-to and quite brief video on his shipping policies. It’s a great tutorial/ template for anyone who wants to switch from calc to bucket shipping.

@pkzenk2158 You definitely don't need to change them individually! Also you can probably mass edit all your listings to increase the price by like a few bucks that way, when u offer free ship, you won't lose as much.

@@OldTreeOutfitters I think you’re right, it’s totally logical, but I’m deferring to my better-half and waiting on her for now.
As convoluted and screwed up as the eBay platform is in many ways, it’s all we have to work with (and work-around).
Absolutely agree on having to “pack” the shipping in, and “bake” it into the total asking price. Yeah, for some reason, the psychology of it doesn’t jive with my way of thinking. I think it’s better to see my numbers broken down. But people are so dumbed-down nowadays.. they don’t want to (or can’t) process even simple calculations.. maybe they just want to see it as simple as possible. One price, that’s nice. And, if/ when we change over, we’ll need to take into account that we will STILL get lowballers. So we’ll need to take any sales/ promotions discounting into account.
Thanks again for putting out your channel! Enjoy and appreciate the weekend.
