I was in vietnam recently for 4 months, did 1000s of km, hanoi to saigon route twice, went to north west corner of vietnam and along border with china to mong cai, numerous trips from hanoi to ha giang loop, ninh binh etc i hadnt ridden a motorbike in years but if you have never ridden a scooter or motorcycle before, vietnam is definately not the place to learn, it takes a lot more skill and concentration than driving a car and the consequences of making a mistake are much more serious, the road conditions, terrain, traffic all make it a pretty dangerous place to learn.....
